just used recovery, seems to have worked fine and was fast.
Restored data and the phone booted up no problems then about 2mins in crashed..

gonna try mybackup root now

Recovery is a sort of OS you boot into, before you boot into Android. It allows you to make full backups of your ROM so that if anything happens you can restore the backup as the phone was when you made the backup. To install recovery, simply put your phone into fastboot mode, then connect it to your PC and run this .exe installer.

hi,dudeman1996 i have installed recovery succesfully.thanks for backup advice.i found a link in mediafire may be uploaded by you for 2.3.4 ,an exe format.i installed it.but set set still showig 2.3.3.pl provide the currect ling for 2.3.4.i am facing anotner prob as when i connect my set with pc for sd access,it starts rebooting.pl. help.

Yeah, it said something along the lines of an SDCard error or something >_<

Nah the "clean 2.3" ROM exe doesnt work for me
i tried the cyanogenMOD exe and that worked, the phone reboots after making a decision so i guess they are communicating..

Does your sd card work?

I found the problem with the clean 2.3.. It was a fault from me I put in the wrong code xD But I've sorted it now and it'll work

Yeah it works fine, i managed to backup and restore again.. an corruption in backing up the first time? i dunno..

No, it doesn't. An IEMI is unique to each phone and doesn't change

I downloaded and installed the Australian one. The software works fine but as I'm in New Zealand (Yes we are different countries

) it didn't quite work right.

If you have the right country option - then go for it - the install works fine.

If you are flashing via recovery which I personally recommend, you'll need to extract the first zip file and then flash the zip inside the zip.

so, basically i have to install zip from sd card and not restore as backup, right?

PLease help!!
I used dudeman's method of downgrading from 2.3.5
and it stuffed up.
I am stuck on the android logo.
but my rom is 2.1.
But my phone is still rooted.
