UK Desire users

I'd be interested to see if there is any correlation between technical-type jobs and phone type. I work for a company that designs video compression hardware for broadcasting. I'd say the HTC / Apple ratio within the engineering staff is probably at least 1:1 and maybe more in favour of HTC.

All the salesmen use iPhones of course.

Since we've got so many UK users here, I thought I'd share a couple of UK centric money saving tips.

SayNoTo0870 - This app gives you alternative landline numbers when you type in the 0870, 0845 or 0844 number of a company and it lets you dial out from the app. In the latest update you can also search by company name.

It won't help you with 0800 numbers but for that you can use 0800 Buster. It's not an app, it's a service where you can call up and then enter the 0800 number you wish to dial. It will then simply use up your free minutes according to the length of your call. Save this number to your phonebook - 0120 834 0800
