Got some questions? think they're stupid? POST 'EM HERE

Actually there are two I was thing about and I don't mind sharing at all :)

Myfitnesspal and Kobo e-books

I'm sure both of these apps will work fine w/o WI-FI &,data having to be on at all times. You would only need it for downloading content or sharing information w/the apps website.

If you are truly concerned about the permissions these apps ask for,I would do these two things:

1)Download TASK IDENTIFIER from the market.Use it to determine which specific permissions are being requested by the apps in question or on any app on your phone.

2) Contact the developer if any of these permissions seem needless or malicious.

Okay let me start out by saying I've been a "lurker" on this forum for quite some time.. I decided to register an account seeing as I use Phandroid.. Anyways thanks for all the help and support you provide for everyone here..

With that being said, I have my own issue.. I use an Ascend and before I upgraded to CM7.1 and Android 2.3.4.. I could save .mp4 files to my SD card in the stock browser.. Now that I've updated, they seem to just auto run without letting me save.. Anyone have any advice? Sorry if this doesnt make much sense; in a hurry.

if anyone knows plz help me i really wanna find out
I know people flash Sprint phones to Cricket and Metro all the time, so it _should_ work the other way. Most people are trying to get AWAY from the crappy phones lol. Anyway, do some research to make sure. Get on Google and find out what CDMA bands Sprint uses, and what bands the Ascend has, and make sure they match up. Make sure the voice AND data bands match. You need both. The biggest problem you might run into is getting Sprint to actually activate it on their network, so make sure to call around and make sure you can get it activated. The local "Mom and Pop" cell phone shops would probably be a better bet than trying a Sprint corporate store. I don't know how the flashing effects having custom ROMs on your phone, either, so just do some Google-ing and calling around to the places that flash phones and find out. Good luck and let us know what you find out. I'm curious myself about putting custom ROMs on a flashed phone.

PS- if you have any $, there are usually a lot of Sprint phones for cheap on Craigslist.

Theres probably no solution to this, other than rebooting the phone, whenever it happens.. But its getting me mad! I have my phone to auto rotate, so the screen can be viewed, how ever which way, I'm holding the phone. But sometimes, it just stops working :/ I like viewing the screen vertically, but I like typing, horizontally. And sometimes, I'm not able to do this, because it just stops rotating. I have to reboot the phone, in order so it can rotate again. Which is kind of annoying. I'm using CM6, and ADW(if that means anything)

*Auto rotate*
