Google Plus (+)

If anyone can spare an invite I'd love to have one. edgar.moscoso@ gmail.com

Lifehacker posted a way to get someone in since the invite system is offline(not sure if this has been posted yet).

How Can I Get an Invitation to Google Plus?

Google introduced their highly anticipated social network, Google Plus, on Tuesday as an invite-only service. Not surprisingly, a lot of people are interested in trying it out.

The folks at Google allowed current members to invite friends for a short window last week, and we started a Google Plus Invite thread at Lifehacker to spread the love. Unfortunately, Google closed invites shortly thereafter.

So how do you get an invitation now?

For starters, you should visit the start page and sign up for an invite whenever Google gets around to sending one. But that's the obvious route, and it could take a while.

If you happen to know someone who's already got a Google Plus invite, you do have another option, which I tested and which worked for me. Keep in mind that Google could always change this, so you mileage may vary.

First, I created a new Circle called "Test", then I added a new friend to that circle

I have also downloaded and registered but it is telling me to wait for an invite...so I guess I am officially on the list "waiting for an invite." I will have to admit, it does sound interesting. I am not a social network fan, although my wife loves using her smart phone for facebook, but this Google + does intrigue me. Hopefully soon...

Worked (working) for me. I got the invite from a friend though. It's nice (desktop/web) and the app is pretty slick too.

Sometime when viewing your profile though, it will display your google account instead of your name. (IE: JSmith100 instead of John Smith) And I need to set it up so I don't get both emails and notifications... that's a bit redundant.
