Accessories Just ordereed this battery HTC Droid Incredible 3500mAh Extended Battery + Cover for $8

I know ur probably right about this one! ! Damn wat battery do u recommended?

Honestly, for $8 I might give that one a try. You never know. The most it could cost you is $8.

If you want to get a known good battery, and you need 3500mah, I would go with this one.
Amazon.com: Seidio Innocell 3500 mAh Extended-Life Battery for HTC DROID Incredible (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

Personally, I wouldn't want one that big, so I'd probably go with this one.

I bought two of those batteries plus an external charger for $21 on ebay last year. They work great for about 2 months and then performance severely deteriorates. I could easily get 36 hours of use out of one charge and (if memory serves me correctly) I think I grazed 60 hours once just being conservative with my usage.

They initially provided way better battery life over the stock, noticably better over the HTC 2100ma, but not as good as the Seidio 3500ma battery. If comparing between the 2100 and 3500, I would venture to guess the actual rating would be roughly 2600ma.

I haven't used them much recently, but the last couple times I used them (while my seidio 3500 was charging) I could go 20 hours and be at 15% battery left. Still better than stock, but quite a bit more bulk for only slightly better life.

One thing I do not like about these batteries are that they do not report the actual battery temperature to the phone. Regardless of how hot or cold it is, it reads something like 78F, even when its warm to the touch. I definitely would not use them in my phone if I needed it for a GPS in a car dock on a warm day. My stock and Seidio batteries can easily overheat (120F+) if in direct sunlight, but at least it will stop charging until it cools down. These batteries would probably let the phone burn up, so be careful.

tl;dr: If you need a cheap/quick fix for battery life but cant afford a seidio 3500 and dont mind the bulk, pick one of these up. However, keep out of direct sunlight and watch for overheating.

I bought this same one several months ago from ebay. It would last for two days for the first month or so. After that it slowly got worse. It now lasts no longer than an OEM HTC TP2 battery.

However, i like the back cover, so if i find a good extended batt, i have a good cover!

I was thinking the same thing. The cover on the cheapo looks much nicer than the cover that comes with the Seidio 3500mah battery. So I would buy both, if I needed that much battery life, and use the Seidio battery with the cheapo cover.

Yup best $8 bucks I ever spent! ! Charge this puppy to full then let it drain completely which took 23 hours! ! After 2 days pretty solid so far on Lous#8 kernel on SkyRaider!! Gonna try Chad's kernel see how that does will write back! !

No offense but that sounds horrible compared to the 2750 HTC brand battery I had with the Thunderbolt. 4G + bigger screen AND it lasted me a good 36 hours with no limitations on using GPS, syncing, etc. I personally think all those 'off-name' batteries are garbage...but that's just me.

Hey, it's $8, who cares! Even if it doesn't last forever...nothing does anyway! :)

there's no battery or phone that would ever last 36 hours while actually using the phone actively. gps doesn't come on unless you are in a program that uses it. syncing doesn't take much. actually do some surfing, internet radio, and keep google maps open and see. If you still say 36 hours then you are blowing smoke.
