Pattern Lock is now a double lock screen?

So I setup the pattern lock like I have had on my droid 1. However when you first hit the physical unlock button, the phone does not go right to the pattern lock, but instead goes to a the normal side swype unlock first, and then it goes to the pattern unlock.

Is there a way to just have the pattern lock be used? Right now you have to unlock it with the 1st normal screen, then a 2nd time using your pattern. The first screen is just a waste of time.

Has anyone else seen this, or have any ideas on this?

It is a feature of blur. I personally like it because you can set the timer on the pattern lock to a time like 5 min. Then if you stick your phone in your pocket and bump the power button, you don't have to worry about pocket dials. Also keeps a layer there should you pocket hit the emergency dial buttons on the pattern screen. And finally it grants access to the silent mode on the swipe to unlock screen, which is lost on the pattern unlock. It took some time to get used to on my D2, but I loved it. I do not think there is anyway save root to disable it though.
