pre certified means??

Don't they replace the outside so its new

No, they allegedly give it a 150 or so point inspection. But based on the 7 replacement Droid X's I went through last summer (all of which I returned to VZW), many of which were in worse physical shape than the phone I was trying to replace. There's a reason they were returned, good luck getting a decent working replacement.

Certified like new phones are very hit and miss. I've had three CLN Tbolts and two of them were junk. The first one had an obscene amount of light leakage and the second a piece at the bottom that was loose and about to fall off. Both of those were back when the rebooting problem first started so I returned them and decided to wait for the update.

After the most recent update, my Tbolt would not pick up 4G so I had no choice but to go for another replacement. This time I received a CFL device that was actually in better shape than my current phone.

Roll the dice and see what comes of it.

i wouldn't be surprised if they replace everything. i mean the kickstand on these things starts peeling after a couple weeks.

FWIW, my one and only CLN phone (thunderbolt) was absolutely MINT minus 1 dead pixel. however i am still having signal issues, so the 2nd CLN is at my house waiting for me. i will update on its status. i really dont want a Charge, but if this one takes a dump i am getting one.

update:
received the phone last night, and this thing is perfect again....even better than the last one. the only issue i see is the battery is a little difficult to put in. it is a very tight fit. but it gets in there and closes up nicely. absolutely no other comlaints about it.

After 3 tbolts I went to a charge after an obscene amount of bitching... now I'm going back to a tbolt. Don't do it to yourself trust me... its quite slow comparatively, the wifi is so bad, the call quality is inferior to the bolt and it might as well not have google maps cause good luck getting a gps lock.. and if you leave it on auto brightness the screen is only slightly more saturated and the same resolution... battery life on 3g is about the same, can't speak about 4g... no LED sucks balls and the camera is not quite as good as the HTC..it needs a new browser, the 3.5mm jack on the sammy is better subjectively ill give it that... and an hdmi out, thats it. I played with both for a couple days before I returned the bolt...

lol, thanks for your input. i would hate to go to the sammy, but if i had to i would. however the CLN TB i received last night is working fantastically for the 14 or so hours i have had it. so hopefully i wont have to worry about it.
