Twice in the last week I've been talking to someone on the phone and it has died in the middle of the call. I look and it says critical low battery and shuts off. Each time I've turned it back on right after and there's been ~ 35% to 40% battery left according to one of my battery widgets; it'll stay on like normal until it loses all power.

I've done the charge full, let it discharge, charge again, etc and also the battery pull, hold the power button 10-15 sec, reinsert battery.

Anyone else had this happen to them?

I had a similar experience yesterday. Going out after work when my battery is typically 50-60%, the phone emits a sound, I look and I get the same critical low battery warning. Turn off phone and put in a second battery (that's another story). Come home after dinner, put the first battery back in and the Battery Monitor app shows the 'critical' battery at 64%! Otherwise I can't say I've seen any difference in battery life. I'm no help, but misery does love company.

Are you on the phone for a long period of time? Like an hour or so? Which battery widget are you using, it could be inaccurate.

I use the battery widget that comes with Widgetsoid and it is very accurate. Also, the battery indicator in the notification bar isn't very accurate.

As for you gme109, go troll somewhere else or actually attempt to answer the OPs question.

Actually never had this happen to me until tonight. It really caught me by surprise thinking I had honestly just forgot to charge it. I powered it back up and easily had over half a battery. Hopefully it doesn't continue but if it does, it would be a nice way to get a new phone ( my back cover has a lot of peels on it).

this has happened to me 3-4 times over the last 2 weeks, take the phone out of my pocket and it's off, turn it back on and usually have 25-30% left or so.

just a couple minutes ago i actually saw it happen. i turned the screen on and was looking something up on the market and the screen went low brightness and it said the battery was critically low and turned off. i immediately turned it back on again because i saw the battery maybe half hour ago or so and it was fine at maybe 40-50% and i hadn't done anything on the phone in that time. the battery widget said it had 13% so i turned it off, took out the battery, then put it back and turned it on again
now its back up to 31%
