Help Bottom left side of keyboard doesn't work!!!

Ok here's the deal... first off thank you for the help and advice.

now on to the "Problem"... the touch screen works fine unless I'm typing a message. Everything works perfect except the keyboard. I've switched from using swype to android and it still doesn't work correctly.

Any tips as to how to fix this. This all started with the update last month.

You could try a factory reset. Generally, updating Android firmware usually requires a reset after the upgrade.

Could you please explain how to reset?

Also would I lose all my pictures/apps etc etc?

Menu - Settings - Privacy - Factory data reset.

Yes, you do lose all your apps and settings and need to reinstall them after the factory reset. No, you do not lose your pictures, music, or anything else that is saved on the internal SD card.

I did the factory reset... how do I get all my contacts back? (I used "back up assist" before reset)
