Help Samsung Galaxy Ace Battery Drains faster..

I bought Galaxy ace last April 4....

Yes the battery is draining fast but you can be cope with that...
I have some tips like install "Mysettings" you can easily adjust some setting like turning off wifi, Auto sync, 2G - 3G, Auto-Rotate, Bluetooth, brightness and others to help you minimize your battery usage..,

Dont use advance task killer, or maybe dont use its Auto Kill function. I just Use advance task killer before I sleep just to end some application while Im sleeping. But if you use to kill task frequently your CPU will always do the heavy job on opening application instead of just fetching it from the RAM.

Do not drain or nearly drain your battery, do not overcharge, If outlet is available plug it in until full charge and un-plug it...

If you charge it when it is on and the widget or some application says that it is 100% it is not...!! based on my observation when I charge it and the widget says that it is 100 percent and turn it off, It will continue to charge for about 1 hour and it will vibrate and indicate that it is fully charge...

Hope it helps..,

and about juice defender I dont know if it will improve your battery.., because as far sa i know it just turn off all the sync feature, wifi and some background process when you lock the phone.., maybe it is better if you just turn it off manually using "Mysetting" app...

I got a better solution for this guys.
Download Android Booster from Market (its Free). And install to your phone.
I don't know how this things work but I assure 100% that it will prolong your battery's life.

Tried and tested, before, normally I charged my phone 2-3 times a day, but after installing Android Booster, my phone battery is alive for almost two days.

I hope it could help you too.

My battery was at 60% (according to my battery widget) before I go to bed. When I woke up 6 hours later, I was horrified to see that my battery has only 20% left.... I did not turn on Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth or anything that I'm aware of...

Have a look under applications/battery use and see if theres anything odd using allot of battery.

I know there is a bug in the latest firmware for the galaxy s where android os uses excessive amounts of battery, 50-60%, it's worth checking.

Battery should only drain by around 5% over night.

hey, so ive just got this phone. had it on charge for 2nd time and before i went to bed, it was 100%, si i unplugged it. all it had turned on was 3g. over night it is needed a recharge.

under About phone: Battery use: it says, while last unplugged for 8h 57m its used:
50% cell standby
48% phone idle
3% display

ive already followed the whole, min screen timeout, lowest screen brightness, turn off wi-fi, gps ect ect.

surely ive got a knackered battery if it lasted 9h on stanby while i was asleep?

Hi, 3g is THE worst thing for zapping battery, especially if you are in an area with a poor signal! Your handset has spent all night trying to connect & re-connect to 3g, so is not really in standby. Also, give the battery a chance to get used to your usage patterns. I've had the Ace since March & after a poor start I now get 3 days sometimes, or at least 1-2 days with "normal" use, ie/ bit of 3g, bit of wifi, games, playing music, a couple of calls & about 10-20 texts. Not bad I think! Maybe the motto for all Ace users should be "be patient"! Hope this helps. GrahamF. :)

thats good i was getting a few days on froyo with a 1500mah on my ace.

rooted 2.3.4 with a 1930mah = light use 4 days 9 hours (little internet)
= normal use 2 days easily.games surfing etc

2.3.4 uses very little cpu & i can honestly say its comparable to a non smartphone when it comes to standby times.

ive had it swaped at the store i bought it now, so ill run it withough 3g ect. see how things go.

is it worth buying a 1500 battery then?

i wish they would develop a battery that can handle a modern day mobile, its pretty shocking that they are marketed as an all in one device, yet the battery isnt capable of going more than a day making use of all the functions

I can last 2 days with my battery, at the middle of the third day i have to charge.

Brightness is down, but i use wifi, music, games through the day. But i terminate the process when i'm done.

Yesterday I've installed many apps, tried them all, uninstalled, downloaded, transferred using bluetooth, listenend to music, checked my mails, watched a 40min movie file and today my battery has lost 1block of it's life :)

Bought and tested the Gold 2430 Mah battery. Full discharge and charge to 100%. Heavy usage for 45mins. Only than does the battery drop to 98%. Before that using the stock battery it would start dropping immediately. Seem like the Gold 2430 mah battery work as its seem to drain slower now. But by how much improvement I am not sure.

Hi All,
I got galaxy ace around a month back and came across few things

that were pretty much common like battery drain which got fixed by

disabling all the wi-fi,background data sync,using 2g n/w connection

instead of 3G, etc but the problem of fone lag specifically after

charging the fone is something which i am noticing since past few

weeks. After every charge i have to reboot the fone then the fone

responds normally or else i get a lag of around 4-5 second (lag

means- if i call thn by clicking dial button would dial the number

after 4-5 seconds and even 'end call' event would get processed

after the lag of almost 4-5 seconds).

Do revert me on this ASAP!

Got same problem for two days after upgrading the firmware from 2.2 to 2.3.4.

It used to drain 50% battery overnight with everything turnedoff(bluetooth, wifi, gprs, backgroud data etc....).

I dont know how did it happen ....may be due to one complete
discharge/recharge cycle happened today.....

NOW MY BATTERY DRAINED ONLY 7% in 8hours.....

android OS works in wierd ways man.
