I'm new to Android, currently saddled with a steaming pile of Touch Pro while I wait for the Galaxy S2 release.
I went to the Sprint store last week to look at the Photon. I also looked at the EVO3D. I really liked the Photon -- except...
I noticed the Photon did not reflow the text to fit the screen on pinch-to-zoom in the web browser.
It also didn't have the pinch-to-see-all-the-home-screens-at-once feature that seems so nifty. ...gotta tap the home button to see them.
Is there a setting to enable either feature on the Photon? Does the web browser reflow text on a double-tap? I forgot to check. The browser on the 3VO was exceedingly sweet.
I did not see any of the PenTile artifacts so many have been complaining about. I did see them on the AMOLED phones, but not on the Photon. I really didn't like the cartoony look of the AMOLED screens on the phones in the store. I'm having a very hard time not buying the Photon right now. If I didn't hate my Touch Pro so bad, It wouldn't be so hard to wait.
