Can you please share where you got that slider on your lock screen? I looked in the XDA thread, but cant seem to find it there. Of course, that thread is now so long, its hard to find things unless you know the name!

Thanks

How'd you make the background of Google search transparent? And could it be done without the purple tinge? I like it more than other versions I've seen of the transparent Google widget, because the search field itself is still opaque. Thanks.

I know with the online pandahome theme creator you can
customize almost everything, not 100% if he use this launcher but.

Hello- Excellent work to everybody on this thread. I have a Motorola Milestone can I do some of things on my phone? Do I have to be rooted? What exactly is rooted? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

No, rooting is not necessary to do most of this.

If you have questions on rooting, search other threads on this forum. Lots of help from lots of people.

I've used the stock launcher, Launcher Pro Plus, Go Launcher EX and ADW Launcher. Hands down, the latter is much more customizable. Still working with it so the jury is still out on which one I'll stick with. Thanks to all the developers for these great apps!

After using these alternate launchers for a year on both an Incredible and Droid 2, I ditched them all in favor of the stock launcher. Not because it offers better features but because it is more stable and I don't like having to keep screwing around with it to make it work. ADW launcher was my favorite but the dock kept disappearing and I had to reboot the phone to get it to reappear. Functionality is paramount to me followed closely by simplicity. I don't need my phone to be a constant source of frustration and upkeep.
