switches in pulldown toolbar?

I dont think you can switch directly on the notif bar, but its fine with me as long as it doesnt use extra homescreens. :)

when i pressed a switch in the bar - a pop-up with the widgets appeared, from thee i was able directly turn on/off the switches.

I didnt want the pop-up so turned of the option. Now when i press a switch in the bar nothing happens, the bar just minimises.

Thats what I meant. You cant toggle without the popup. Apparently on some phones you can, but not all. The menu says that if you cant toggle on the notification bar, leave that option activated.

you can toggle from the notification bar.

the only time i get the toggle popup is when i click near the top right corner, otherwise it toggles fine.

On my phone, turning off the popup wont let me toggle on the notification bar. The notification menu pulldown menu just closes. As I previously said, apparently this doesnt work on all phones.

Then try "Quicksettngs" It work just fine on my Atrix. The only difference is, when you pull down the notificaiton bar, you just press the "Quicksettings" icon and you have all your buttons right there to toggle. Very easy and simple and you don't have to have any widgets on the home screens, in order to use it from the notification bar.

ok us two have this problem. Does anybody else?

Until this problem isn't resolved i strongly recommend the Notification Toggle app below, which is much easier to use.

I have tried this, only problem is the toggles are vertical which means you have to scroll up/down in the bar, which is ok for me as i have only 3 switches. You can set them in one row using the 'all in one' function'. But it has the same problem, a pop-up appears. After some internet searching, i found out that 'all in one' row feature without pop-ups will only work properly if your firmware supports notifications with multiple click-events.

Like i said before it works perfectly if you use it in normal vertical and not selecting the 'all in one' function.

Comparedto Widgetsoid, Togle notification is much much easier and faster to use and setup for the bar.

Wonder if this is a Gingerbread issue...

It was working fine for me until today when I upgraded my Droid2 global to Gingerbread. Now I get the toggle appearing all the time...kind of defeats the purpose IMHO.
