Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Dumbass husbands. I had to run home to help him get Skype working! I've told him that all those funny little blobby icons need to be green! And he can't remember that the task bar is on the top in my Ubuntu. You not only have to log in, you also need to select that you are online! He also missed that on the XP laptop.
And he's a freaking EE! It's always easier to ask me to do something than figure it out himself.

Actually husband's problem is that he doesn't listen. I had told him that all the SKype icons needed to be green. He forgot.
We will usually have a discussion about anything mechanical, but anything electrical, I leave alone.

Anything electronic that's new, I get to deal with. Cameras, cell phones, PDAs, etc, file formats and malware on the computer, also some computer programs.

If it hooks up to the TV, that's his department.

I bought a Roku box for Xmas last year, and it's still sitting up in his office while he tries to figure out what it does. He did the same with a VCR/DVD recorder that I bought for another Xmas. It took him almost 2 years to get that installed. Now it's hooked up to an analog TV, with 2 converter boxes, 4 remotes, and 2 different antennae. One outside, one in. That setup is confusing.

FedEx sucks the big one. I was supposed to get my replacement phone (EVO 3D) today, but the damn courier decided he wanted to half ass his job today. Guy walks into my office building entrance, decides he wants to walk right out when he couldn't figure out how to get in. Sooooo pissed.

I used to work for FedEx Ground as a package handler. I recommend never using them in general. Your phone could be broken by the time you get it.

Used to be worse when people still used hand signals. You never knew what they meant.
A hand outside the car waving could be a signal or someone drying nail polish.

Here in Utah, you must know the hand signals...they are on the written test. And... some people do not have any other way to go because they drive old vehicles or some such.

Do not blame us old farts that use hand signals according to the law just because you can't remember what the signals are, if you are required to know them when you took your test.

Smiley.
