Help Fraking Androind and Hotmail!

Why can't they get along?

I've had problems over and over with the Samsung Charge (Android) not keeping my mail sync'ed, and hanging in the sync process.

So today I tried the usual, power down and re-start, turning on and off Mobile Data and Wifi. All to no avail. I even deleted (on the phone) the one mail it was stuck in the middle of retrieving and that didn't fix it.

So I erased all the apps data and recreated the account. Not the damn phone can't connect the the f'ing Hotmail Server!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Who's the culprit, Hotmail or Android?

trparky, didn't see anything that looked like it helps, but still need to go through every page.

K9 reterived the mail fine the mail fine, so I'm guessing it's hotmail?

I use hotmail as my main email acount. My first Android phone was a Droid X, which I got last year on launch day July 15, 2010. I used Hotmail on that device with no problems. I have since got a Droid Charge on June 30, 2011. I set my Hotmail account up as my main account and it has been working great for me since. I have also my gmail account and yahoo account setup on the device. Some people are just too quick to want to blame Microsoft for something....I do not think that is the problem here.

There is also a free app on the market, I think it is called Hot Email. This is simply an app that allows you to login to your hotmail account similar to how it is from a computer portal. I use this on occasion, as this app allows me to actually migrate through all of my folders I have setup in Hotmail.

When you set up your Hotmail account, did you set this up using the icon labelled EMAIL ?

Yes. I thought the issue may be a Verizion 3G Data issue, but even with and w/o my Wifi on, the same problem exist. One of the tree is the issue, either Samsung Droid Software, Verizion Data, or Hotmail.

From past server/update/migrations I know Hotmail uses many servers, with all the users spread across many different ones.

The phone is still stuck sync'ing, and isn't reeving new mail.
