sprint lte concerns?

I just want a refund on my $10/device surcharge for the 4G I am never getting. I have 3 phone on my account that are hit with that.

I'm fairly certain that it's a charge for smartphones, not 4G. IIRC, Blackberries get hit with that charge, too, and they don't have 4G. So will the iPhone, even if it doesn't work with WiMax.

As for the OP, I doubt many of us will still be using the evo 3d when LTE is in full swing. I further doubt any compensation will be given for those that are still on WiMax.

Explain the Fee

-Two really cool articles on the subject...

- Promotional materials claim that the fee is for a "richer data experience with an advanced processor,"

So where is my richer data experience if I am stuck with 3G...

By the time I think this will be in my city I'll be well on my way to upgrading to a new phone anyways. Be glad you got your phone already that way you will be able to get a new one when LTE starts rolling out.

As for compensation...you didn't sign nor were you told that WiMax would continue to spread and cover your area better or at all (if you did sign something please let me know, I didn't sign anything when I signed up with Sprint which was weird). Without this your quest for compensation will be hard. Might get some credit if you complain enough. I don't think it is something to get up in arms about. I personally think the whole 4G thing is over rated but that is just my opinion.

Also...this should probably go in the Sprint forum as this isn't related directly to the EVO 3D but all 4G phones.

when you got the phone... you knew the condition/situation of coverage. i sure hope you where not force-ably made to sign that contract.

when/if they move to LTE.. the wimax will still be supported till devices are discontinued.

if you keep your phone past the time of wimax support.. you have kept your phone way too long .. and made sprint a lot of extra profit and your upgrade should be available. you can call retention at that time and see if you can get and extra discount.

if that does not work out for you... and since you are way out of contract...there are other carriers available.
