Root [ROM] Nils' Business GingerSense - Android 2.3.3 - Sense 2.1/Some 3.0

I'm having a problem... I flashed to this ROM and it's amazing haha but some of my apps wont work like MyYearbook, Facebook, or TMZ they load and then these HTML codes pop up and say that supposedly i don't have data running on my phone but i have Service plus my WiFi running what can i do please help me I'm in a bit of a pickle here...

Try a hot reboot and see if that helps.

Or reinstall using ROM Manager without a wipe.

i love this ROM. best one i have tried.

the only things that bother me are that i cant find backup assistant on the phone after i flashed the rom, and also my bluetooth wont pick up on my phone. my bluetooth before i rooted wouldnt work with my car, but i used another rom and it worked perfectly. now this one doesnt work and i wish i could get it back.

how do i do an HBoot? i know how to get into HBoot, do i just click on reboot?
Also what radio Frequency would be good i have the original radio
i've downloaded the latest one and renamed it PB31IMG.zip but once i boot in HBoot it says something about file wasn't recognized, what to do i want to keep this sweet ROM i just want to get everything working

Btw thanks so much for the help and the creation of this sick ROM

If you rename it on your phone don't add the .zip part because the file automatically adds the .zip. that may solve it.

the sd card MUST be formatted to fat32.

There are none. People have tried other kernels but they always break something.

Does not need to be empty just backed up so when you format it will get erased and you need the backup so you can copy back

Rocking the sense 3.0 ROM now. Great work nils. Best ROM the inc has seen since its inception. Also added the mms and rosie mods...flawless. I noticed you have a shortlist of to-do's. Fully expect the next release to be near the finished product already. Really appreciate how your roms are pretty much RC'S out of the gate. Thorough is the word that comes to mind. Thanks.

The 2.1/3.0 ROM is pretty solid but I am even more happy with the pure 3.0 ROM.

Working on 2 graphic glitches and will release a new version of the 3.0 with the new Messaging app and re-mappable Rosie right button built in. Soon..

Thanks. Any chance of 4x5 icon grid for homescreens? They feel a little spread out but not a deal breaker by any means.

Also Nils, feel like im overlooking something obvious but i cant seem to change my email notification. I change the system notification but it doesnt seem to take. Unless I'm missing something, theres no independent notification selection in the mail app, it just uses the system selection? It always refers to the notifier "Alpha" which I can see at Personalize > Soundset but I can't seem to change it there either. Kinda feeling like a noob here.

Hey NilsE Anyway you can help me get through this process like chat with me through an IM so i can get it to work i really want your ROM on my phone its INCREDIBLE lol

I've gone into HBoot and Rebooted it, i started up my phone and it's still doing the same thing...

As for the Radio Frequency change i haven't done it yet i wan't to get it ready to go, i have the 5.02 Radio Frequency loaded onto my Desktop Named PB31IMG without the .ZIP that's added automatically correct?
Also another thing I've been trying to do is make the Battery last longer i heard about the Battery Calibration app but does that really work? what have you done to make your battery last longer NilsE?

P.S. I appreciate you and everyone else helping me with this Glitch

I was going to look into flashing Nil's gingersense ROM and under the requirements I see... Clockworkmod Recovery 3.x (3.0.0.7 for Amoled and 3.0.0.8 for SLCD)

Couple things, is 3.x really needed and if it is, where do you get the specific version for the screen LCD and how do I know what LCD I have?

Yeah, you need 3.x. Open Rom Manager and check the top option. It shows what version of CWM you have. If you don't have the necessary version, press "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and it will load the new version. Don't worry about the LCD thing. I have an amoled screen and I run .8 just fine. If you have an SLCD, they recommend .8 anyway. I think it's a moot point for most people.

This is my favorite ROM so far, I love being back on sense after a CM7 stint. (Still a noob though)

I used the ROM as downloaded from XDA straight up. Is there an advantage to trying a new radio? Its under the upgrade part of your post NilSe, and all my radio searches bring up well...real radios. I believe this refers to the cell phone radio. If this effects reception...do tell!

I posted all the radios that work on the Incredible since everyone's experience is different. Try starting with the newer ones and see which one works best for your area. I bounce between 11.19 and 05.06

Lots of love here for 5.06 although I don't doubt the greatness of 11.19 either. Seems like just about everything that came from the Evo is silk. In many ways, I think the Evo ports were the best Roms ever made for this phone but you just have to love the newer Sense ala Nils. Reminded me of upgrading from XP to Win7.
