OK, so like a lot of people out there, when I found out that 2.3.3 for the G2 had leaked, I couldn't resist and downloaded the leak. It was awesome, minus a few bugs here and there, but no big deal. Then came the announcement (and confusion) from T-Mobile that the OTA would be available on a certain date, then they changed the date, then for most people it never happened, and then they said that you would have to go to a store and have it updated.

Well, that's no bueno. And anyone that had the 2.3.3 leak wasn't ever going to see the OTA. Yikes! Then, of course, someone FINALLY got the official OTA, uploaded the source file, and all was well, right? WRONG! If you DID have the leaked version of 2.3.3, you would have to go through a whole mess of things which included downgrading back to Froyo, temp-rooting, and THEN being able to put the official 2.3.4 on your phone. No thanks.

But finally, thanks to atlp99 on XDA, we now have a PC10IMG file for the official 2.3.4 that will simply override the 2.3.3 leak. Here's the link to the file ---> https://rapidshare.com/#!download|845l36|3796067356|PC10IMG.zip|137779|R~31AF3738DB313095D92F844B3C6999E2

and here's the original link to XDA from atlp99 ---> PC10img.zip from Tmobile store sd card - xda-developers

All props go to atlp99 and the XDA forums. I just wanted to post it here to help spread the word.

And of course, you just boot this like any regular PC10IMG file. I did this on my G2, and it worked like a charm. Now running 2.3.4 and it runs even smother than the 2.3.3 leak. Enjoy!
