Youtube: Not available on mobile

I hate how some videos on Youtube say not available on mobile. Mobiles are probably gonna replace computers one day so it's important that they can do as much as possible without relying on a computer. On WinMo I used this app youtubeplay 1.0.0.11 - YouTube & FLV Player - now works on PPC2003 - xda-developers Which I assume got the video from the desktop site. Is there an app for Android that can fetch videos from the desktop version of Youtube?

The question you asked maybe also is a confused issue of many people. The videos in YouTube is flash video format(flv), this format is not a mobile format like mpeg4, 3gp, etc. Then I think an application to watch online videos with mobiles must support that format for many other websites also use this video format.

I uploaded a video that wouldn't play on my phone. It said something like "this video not available on mobile" After I googled that I found the answer. The owner of the video has not made this video available on mobile devices. Well.... being the owner of said video, I checked the settings and sure enough... there is a place that you can check that says "Make this video available on mobile phones and TV." so.. I clicked it, saved the settings and now it plays... so... spread the word to folks to set this. I did not find a way to make this the default. - as always... this is what worked for me.. you results may vary
