Yeah, it is, Metro can claim all it wants, but CDMA-EvDo is different than 1XTT.

I'm just saying, that still seems slow for 3g. That's about the speed you get on Cricket after they throttle you. Metro must have the speed capped for now.

Well, I was on my home from work tonight, and came across the Howard Franklin Bridge (South Bound I-275) and figured I'd see if 3G was still there...
Well, it was there for less than 3 seconds twice... That was just before exit 32, and then again just before exit 31 (Ulmerton Road) that was it... nothing west bound on Ulmerton at all... the only difference is the ROM I'm running now... I'm running the CM7.2-Ascend_07282011_signed.zip ROM as opposed to the CM7 05142011 ROM Both at PRL3020
Guess I'll go back to the CM7 05142011 ROM and see if it finds the 3G again... but that will not be till monday...

Does anybody know if they are setting up new towers or anything? For the last couple days at my house where my signal is terrible my phone has been jumping to 3 to 4 bars for a bit then back to one if I'm lucky. Even with the crap signal the 3g is still ok for browsing but when it jumps up it is crazy fast in comparison. Still 1x in town tho.

Hi guys, I'm at Miami (33178) and my ascend is showing 3G, i just checked out and my PRL is 3022 (i didnt force any PRL) and only did *228 like 2 days ago.

I have an Lg Optimus M but I too am getting 3g in Miami with PRL 3022. And same as meksyk, I didnt force it either.. I did *228 about a day or two ago, and it was 3019 until today when I saw 3g on the phone and decided to check.

No, at this moment they are shoving 4G LTE into the plunge and putting up towers for them, to see future builds, if any, go here.Does anybody know if they are setting up new towers or anything? Lol I actually took a screenshot but I can't link or post a file/photo yet since I don't have enough posts. You can PM me and I can send the link to the screenshot through there if anyone wants (if that even works). But yeah its been 3g the whole day, great reception, and 3022 prl remains.
