Help Current Bugs with the Bionic

Has anyone That purchased The Bionic today or received it Yesterday Noticed any buggyness?

My husband's been having an issue with his. He moved a bunch of apps over to SD, and a couple of hours later, they weren't accessible. The icons still existed on his home screens but if he tapped to open, the phone said the app didn't exist. He can see the apps in the application management section but can't move them back to the phone.

He also found that he was unable to mount to access SD when trying to connect the phone to his computer.

Tried reformatting the SD card (and reinstalling the apps/moving them back over) but it didn't help. He called Verizon tech support, was quickly escalated to Tier 2, and then to Motorola support from there.

Made it to level 2 Motorola, but then my Bionic, which he was using to talk to them so that he could troubleshoot on his own at the same time, decided to randomly reboot in the middle of the conversation. Mine had been completely problem-free until that point.

So now it looks like we have two glitchy Bionics. I'm not particularly pleased. I love the phone otherwise, so I really hope they can sort this out!

Update: After over an hour total on the phone, and a long-winded speech from the Motorola Tier 2 tech about how the phone just came out yesterday, they're still working through things, etc. (I guess she's had a rough day with Bionic glitches?), she advised us to exchange both phones for a replacement. Didn't even try to troubleshoot my reboot, just said I needed a new one.

Pretty sure my phone has restarted twice already on it's own...strange...
Yes I had this last night in the middle of a call. Suddenly I heard nothing. Looked at my phone and it was rebooting.

Also today I was opening bookmarks in my web browser and got a plain black screen. Got stuck there and had to pull the battery.

Have to say Im loving the phone though. Coming from the eris. I will give it a few more days to see how common these bugs are before I take it back and swap it for another bionic.

the only bug I have found is that when it is first pluged in to the wall charger the touch screen does bot react properly. For instance I will touch an app on the screen to open it and the app next to it will open insted or if you try to use the keyboard a different letter will be entered than the one you typed but this only occurs for the first minute or so after the phone has been plugged in.

Maybe it has the same issues as the X. Try turning off 802.11N on your router and run it in BG. I have an E3000 with dd-wrt and the Bioinc seemed fine. 15-20mbps DL and 2mbps UL (throttled). Pretty funny that 4G does 15DL and 5UL! Haven't used it much though.

Turn off Wireles sN in your Router, or set it to run BG mode instead of BGN / GN mode.

The DD-wrt is an OS router firmware that works on most non-Buffalo hardware routers and is an advanced topic.

$G has speeds of 15 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Anything else?

I returned my buggy phone after having more issues with it. Ended up with one that had a rattle in the speaker.
Im on my 3rd one now. Speaker is fine, and if it turns out to have the same bugs, I will just assume that all/most phones will have them and we will receive a patch soon enough.
I know a lot of people dont have problems yet, but the phone is still new. So we will see.
Still loving it though!

Mostly market idiosyncracies. Same as above, it will say downloading but not actually be downloading anything. Also, Since I was installing a ton of apps, it FCd on me when there were either multiple apps installing and / or downloading and installing simultaneously.

And camera will not focus correctly.

Other than that, nothing I have run into yet.

I just experienced my first bug. I went to the movies (saw Warrior and its an AWESOME movie) about half way through the movie i wanted to check the time. I pressed the power button on top of the phone to wake the screen and nothing happened. I pressed it 20 more times, no go. Had to do a battery pull.
Other than that, just a few apps force closing.
Hope that was just a little fluke. :/

this happened to me twice too, i also noticed that the phone was hot and had excessive battery drain once i got it running again. i did have pocket protection enabled but i was in a brightly lit room both times. i did a factory reset and only installed a few apps, just waiting to see if it recurs...

Yeah there's a major bug.
USB just won't see the internal but sees external memory.
This is a deal breaker don't know why people are so tolernace to these things!
First attempt to connect to PC to restore data from some apps didn't see either memeory locations.
Second time both int & ext were viewable from PC w/64bit W7 OS.
Managad to get my data loaded but no longer see's interal memory.
I've seen many versions of this same problem on other forums.
This by no means is anything short of a huge bug.
My droid one synched to my PC with no problems. I moved all the folders to an external HDD so i can start restoring app data to Bionic and it simply can't be done because it sees it it doesn't see it see's one it doesn't see the other...
Also tried synch to laptop w/V64bit Vista...Droid one no problem...Bionic it might as well be 1972!
This is a rudimentoary function that should work flawlessly...this is rediculous!
