So last night and today my Droid Bionic had an issue were once the display times out and goes into a sleep mode. If I were to press the power button it would not kick out, and remain blank. Only way to resolve was to remove the battery and power back on. So I'm wondering if anyone here has encountered this issue with their Droid Bionic?

this happened to me a few times too, i have been reading a relatively small (i think) number of complaints about this in at least 4 different forums i frequent, i think it would be useful in the long term for folks to post this issue in one consolidated thread over on the Motorola support forums since they have several Motorola employees that review posts there:

Make sure when you are going to hit the power button your arm is not blocking the light sensor, because it might think that the phone is in your pocket and not power it on. I had that issue, so I disabled the setting that asked if you wanted pocket detection.

i am aware of the pocket protection feature (really cool function), but accidentally covering the sensor is not the cause in my case
