For those of you that have Ascend and 3022 PRL and are on stock froyo, please try this to extract the PRL.

I will post this guide..let me know if it works for Ascend..you will need a program called CDMA WORKSHOP 2.7, I can't post the link here. You will also need to have the ascend usb drivers.

Download and install usb drivers for Ascend from here: ascend_usb_drivers.zip

On Phone Dial this code
*#*#2846579#*#*
A menu will pop up
Then
Go to projectmenu -- Background Settings -- USB Port -- (select) Manufacture mode
Then
Go To settings -- About Phone -- Status -- MEID (write down your MEID)

GO to whiterabbit's android site and enter your MEID and click on CALCULATE and this will give you your metro SPC code, write it down. android - whiterabbit.org

Make sure on Phone USB Debugging is on
Now On Windows go to device manager -- ports -- DBAdapter Reserved Interface
(Remember your COM PORT)

Now open CDMA Workshop and choose the port you took note of earlier...click connect. Open the security tab and enter the SPC in the box and click SPC then send.
Now go to Other tab and under the PRL section click on READ (Universal, NAM1), this will let you save the PRL to a .prl file on your PC. Save it and upload it here .

Let me know if this works for you if not PM me with your error codes.

In order to have constant 3g access in miami you need the new 3022 prl, but I was able to get 3g using the 3020 prl on my flashed fascinate only if i enable "evdo only" mode in debug menu. The only drawback is that txts dont work only voice and data. if anyone has a metropcs branded android phone you can update your prl just dial *228 and select option 5. you can extract the 3022 prl using cdma workshop 2.7 if anyone can do this and post the 3022 prl let me know I posted the steps on how to do this, it should work on metropcs android phones.

Im on a quest to find someone to upload the 3022. Im not really far from Maimi a couple hours north and trying to find someone willing and able to. If you know some one with it, send them here and someone here can walk them thru copying it off the phone and uploading it.

The app I used to use for screenshot was called Shootme. You just shake your phone and it takes a screenshot

And on a side note... I'm in st. Pete, fl and I've had 3020 for almost a week. My phone switches to 3g in certain parts of town but never able to receive anything when it does. But last night for the first time I was able to load about 3 pages on 3g before it stopped working. Maybe its getting closer... By the way, I was near 49th street and 5th ave south when I get a pretty good 3g signal, for anyone in the area
