they launched 4g in my area!!!

so i was in another city 20 mins away and they just launched 4g there today!!! Well there was some bugs going on with the network but i will tell you it was FAST!!!!!!! FAST I TELL YOU!!!!

battery life was crappy like all said but hey it was great to play with 4g!!!!!

just thought i would say something lol

also the VZW corp store and local radio show was drawing to give out free 4g phone didnt matter if you upgraded or not FREE just FREE!!!!!

4G is fast with VZW, I did a speed test vs one of my friend's nexus s 4g on sprint and mine killed him...I believe the quote was "Your phone is faster than my home internet"

Hopefully if it is close to you they will expand it, I know I am getting 4G in areas where I hardly got 3G in the past

yeah it shoudl be in my area novemberish i do live in a bigger metro area but they setup the college town first

I remember when the TB first came out and getting 40-50 Mbps wasn't uncommon. Now I'm lucky if I get 8-10 Mbps if I'm on 4G. Of course 8-10 Mbps would still be enough to impress the company's iPhone fanboi with my Youtube streaming capabilities.

I finally got to try 4G in Augusta last weekend, and I was blown away. My data usage will go way up when it arrives in my town, because I will never use Wifi again, 3-4 times faster than my home internet easy.

verizon expanded the 4g in my city about 2 months ago and i finally get it at my house. i used to only get 4g in the inner city, but now i get it almost everywhere in my area. i have noticed though that it isn't quite as fast as when i got my first TB back in march. it's still faster than my home internet though and i am up to about 4.5GB of data usage so far this month. i've got 9 days left in the billing cycle. netflix really eats up a lot of data on 4g, but looks great.

I noticed that as well. However if I do a speedtest late at night I will have the crazy speeds once again.

I still use wifi when available, it is plenty fast even if 4G is available. Wifi uses so much less battery than 4G does, if I only use 4G I end up having to plug my phone in way too often

I love 4g. I droped my home internet service because of tethering w/ my rooted phone. Sry to say im probably the reason they stoped unlimited data. 2 TB's = 80 gb's a month

luckily if you signed up before the new limits you still get unlimited usage but i never abused it like you did. 4g LTE in my area

I get around 12mbs from wifi tethering and around 18mbps from usb tethering in manhattan. My time warner home internet gets me around 25mbps
