Inductive Charging

Anybody know if/when the Inductive Charging mat will be available? Also, do you know if I will need a new battery cover or will the standard one work? I am thinking about getting the extended battery, will that battery door work?

I saw a special back cover on either the VZ or Moto site for induction charging.

Its on Verizon's site now, you can also use the Energizer Inductive charging mat.

You will need the Inductive battery door they sell currently at VZW.

Extended battery will not fit under the Inductive door.

Cool, thanks for the info. Anybody have a review of the inductive charging mats? Are the worth the expense? I know that is subjective and some people might like them and some will not. So I guess the question is, does it charge at a normal rate or does it charge slower?

I have the Energizer Qi mat. I've got no basis for comparison, but it certainly seems fast -- I used the phone all day with WiFi and BlueTooth on, made a number of calls and fooled around with a bunch of apps. I didn't check the battery charge when I put it on the Energizer mat, but it charged full in about 10 minutes. It was so fast, I actually thought something was wrong with the mat, as the blue charging light went off and wouldn't come back on -- it was because it was fully charged!

The extended battery won't work with this -- it won't fit the inductive cover. Verizon/Motorola would have to come out with a new inductive back for the inductive battery.

I am really getting disappointed with this phone. I just bought the (2) position Energizer Qi mat and it soes NOT work for my phone
The blue light appears on the mat, but nothing on the phone.

The Webtop mobile adaptor barely works. Screen will not react to my touch.

Update: It turns out that I had a bad cover from Verizon. Once replaced, the Energizer works fine. Charge time appears to be OK to me.

Considering the HTC ReZound but can't find the 'wireless charging battery cover' in stock (a factor in my considerations). Also I'm not able to determine how much thickness the wireless cover would add to the ReZound's already thick dimensions. Anybody have experience in these questions?

Can't comment on the rezound but the bionic inductive charger did add thickness. The thickness was pretty similar to the extended battery.
