Hi, new member here.

A few days ago my mains charger stopped working. I ordered a new one, and am waiting for it to arrive. In the meantime, I have been using the USB and car chargers. At first this seemed to be fine, but now neither are working. The phone tells me to unplug the charger as it is fully charged, but next time I switch the phone off (it has a habit of doing this itself on a regular basis anyway), I cannot switch it back on as it says the battery is dead. In order to switch my phone back on I have to plug it in to my computer/cigarette lighter in my car. Hopefully the mains charger will work when it arrives, but surely I should be able to use the USB anyway, and it shouldn't tell me the battery is full when it's nearly dead?

Any ideas anybody?

Thanks

Brand new Galaxy Aces as well as SIs and SIIs come with multiple battery issues.. this is common. I have heard loads of stories where they got the phone replaced. One of my close friends got this SII replaced jsut last month. Its not a big deal. Just call with the warranty. From the sounds of it. There is a major issue with the battery

As for the Switching off problem please upgrade to 2.3.4 wherever you can. Possibly when you get the phone replaced they should do it for you free of charge. :)

Hope this helps. And hope you have a warranty!!

Hi.
It looks like that is the power connector. I was with a similar problem and take the phone to guarantee and they confirmed that was a damage on AC circuit. Strange because the phone charged but when off only plugged on a charger or usb link it switch on. And the same with the battery level on phone. After full charged the level never goes down unless the phone restart.
