Root Just installed CM7 but......

No need to reboot. Rom, kernel and gapps can all be flashed in the same recovery session.

I would flash rom, then gapps, then kernel in the same recovery session but that's just me

well i always flash cm7 then reboot and then syn with wifi then flash gapps then i reboot then i flash the kernel. that is just me though. it is easier to troubleshoot if you do it that way. if something goes wrong you do not know which file it that could be causing the issue.

Agreed but flashing rom then flashing the gapps file is recommended by cyanogen. Reboot, then if you want flash a custom kernel, flash the kernel after the phone settles in

One benefit of flashing the rom, rebooting, and then flashing gapps, is that you can set up WiFi first and then when you flash gapps and go through setup everything downloads via WiFi rather than 3g.

Not sure how to do that if everything is flashed at one time as you immediately go into the Google setup and if you leave setup to turn on WiFi I haven't found how to go back into setup (might be possible).
