Notification on the unlock screen

No luck finding anything yet. I wish it was easier for devs to modify our lock screen, it could hold some really useful information. Maybe it's a security issue?

I had an app that allowed me to access FB, twitter, email, etc on the unlock screen. It was kinda buggy and tended to force close so I got rid of it, but I can't remember the name. I'll search around and let you know if I find it again

I noticed the beast shows the music player if you are listening to music instead of the lock screen. So it definitely should be possible, though *probably* only for rooters.

Try out "screen mode widget". I've had it since day one and it works pretty well.
It's just a widget you can tap to set your phone to stay awake to keep it from locking when you put it in standby. You can also tap it to keep your screen on (without dimming) constantly.
I just tap it again in public places so it allows the phone to lock in case I lose it, it still locks normally (I use the security line sequence screen).
I know it's not exactly what you asked, but it should be a good alternative.

Lol, people always do this with this widget/app.
Since it's just a widget (not an app), it's not going to show in the app menu. You just have to longpress the desktop, hit widgets, and select the screen mode widget to place it on the desktop.

Thanks for the replies.. I think I might get depressed with this Droid... So much fun, but so not productive.. I'm starting to like it and hate it at the same time.
My wife doesn't like it at all since I spend all my time trying to customize it, fix it, play with it, enjoy it, curse at it. I guess Droid does that too.

I lol'd. I'm in the same situation, but fortunately I have had to curse at it for any reason so far, nor have I had to fix anything (besides wi-fi after OCing). I've just been purely customizing it and playing with it. She keeps saying I have an obsession, but if I wasn't on here all the time, I'd just be on my computer.

What music player are you using, I am using BB as well but don't see the music on the lock screen?

This was the milestone 3d music player, but it looks like pete took it out in the latest build due to music clipping issues (too bad, because I loved the functionality as well.)
I would love to see something like slidescreen for the lockscreen...I never liked it as a home replacement app, but it was a very nice data aggregator for quick checks.
