how to add videos on epic from pc?

Try this link for videos that you have made on the phone: (Also, you can just hook up a USB cord and download the DCIM file. Your PC just sees the phone as a hard drive in that case.)

If you want to download video to the ET, at the same Samsung link as above, there is an option to install a PC and Mac program called Samsung New Studio. This has a "Video Converter" tab on it. I don't know anyone who has tried this option yet, but you might give it a go.

Let us know if and how it works.

You can connect your phone to the PC is such a way that your PC sees as a drive.
- Disconnect the usb
- Setting -> Application -> Development -> USB Debugging
- Connect the USB
- Pull down notification bar -> USB Connect
Have fun. This is how I transfer all my albums and videos (> 20 Gb) to my phone memory and SDCard

PS. the debugging flag itself does not harm anything in normal usage, you can leave it on.
Only during the session that it is really 'connected', you cannot access these directories from your phone. They are used exclusively by your pc.

I think the media is by default stored in:

/sdcard/DCIM/Camera

But as long as you use file explorer or file manager app you can store the files anywhere you want. You can make a "Movies" folder and open your files using file manager - it should default to video player when you select them.

As I worked with the Kies program, I discovered that it allows optimization for photo resolution for the E4GT on the transfer of photos. It also converts videos automatically to Epic 4G Touch playable format when a video is transferred.

You can pre-select that the program transfers music and video to external memory first.

Hey unplugged1 - have you tried the Kies Air app yet? I haven't gotten it to work on my mac when it says to enter the IP address into my browser. Just curious. I didn't have my cable at the time and wanted to give it a try.

Your pictures/video taken from the camera usually ends up in the /DCIM/camera directory.

If you want to copy TO your phone, any directory will do.
After disconnecting, it scans for all kind of types of media files on your memory and external sd card.

3rd party apps put their own files usually in their own directory.

I have found the Kies Air app to be less encompassing than the Kies PC and Mac program for my needs. However, it may be because the Air app is not as obviously easy. For instance, how do you sync your computer music with Air? It doesn't directly address if it does sync music. Maybe it does automatically, I don't see it described, though.

Is there backup on Kies Air? I guess the help issues are not as easy, but it looks as if Kies Air simply allows you to view what is on your ET. I appreciate the syncing capability of the Kies PC program. Also, I see nothing about syncing with Outlook on Kies Air. I prefer to keep my phone contacts carefully segregated from Gmail contacts. I use Gmail with my Google Voice, but I want a much shorter list of contacts that I have in Outlook to be on my phone. (Also, I like the photo capability of Outlook and that syncs with my phone also.)

Also, be aware that the Kies PC program can be used without a USB cable. The ET phone and your computer just need to share the same Wi-Fi network. Transfer is made between your phone and PC via Wi-Fi. (You go to the Wireless and Network settings in the ET menu. Then you select "Kies via Wi-Fi". Pretty cool.)
