Root [Script] RC 2.1 10/26 V6 SuperCharger! HTK & BulletProof Launchers! The ONLY Android MEMORY FIXER!

if i'm not mistaken, i don't believe a script on it's own "runs", it's not an app but a programming language that allows control of one or more applications. while you "run" the script, you'll notice that it states "running" up in the left corner, meaning that it's being applied. when it's done, it will show close... IMO... i'm just a novice, a tinkerer as you will.... learning each day...

I would have to agree with this. I don't know much about scripting, just a tad, but with everything I've done, you run the script, then it finishes.

So I want to try this on MikG 2.45, but I'm hesitant. I previously tried it on Mik3d and it didn't like either Script Manager or Busybox. Every time I hooked my phone up to a power source, it would freeze and get caught in a boot loop.

I don't see Busybox already in my apps. Can someone confirm that MikG 2.45 does or does not have Busybox built in? I don't think it does and even though I have a Nandroid backed up, I really don't want to lock my phone up again.

Thanks guys.

its not busybox that does not like your phone, it is the script you tried to run. the v6 supercharger may have issues with the latest version. not sure which one mikg2.45 has, but i think it is the latest one. you should be fine. just make a nandroid backup and try it out. it is an awesome rom.

I didn't even get a chance to run the script. My phone started bugging out right after I downloaded busybox and script manager.

Ok...ran everything and my phone isn't bugging out...that's a good thing.

I can't tell if this script is working and installed correctly though. I ran option 8 and the message I'm seeing is.

launcher is BULLETPROOF! ie SUPERCHARGED!

minfrees= 6, 12, 40, 60, 80, 100mb

how do i tell how many mb are open on my ram when the phone is running? mikG 2.45 comes with "task manager" installed and I checked via that tool and it doesn't look like there is any more available RAM than before I ran the script. I have about 122mb available RAM when everything is closed...which is what I had before.

I'm lost...

Can someone please help me with the steps required to get the v6 script on my EVO. I read the post on XDA devs. and im just lost. Can someone list steps in dummies terms for us newer rooters. Thanks for any help!!!!

so i moved your thread to this one as it pertains to the v6 script.

here is a very good guide to follow: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...of-launchers-only-android-memory-fixer-3.html. the only difference really is instead of 6 choose 8 or 9. and you do not need the busybox version it mentions.

I am trying to run the V6 SuperCharger script with CM7 and Tiamat. After successful choosing option 8 I then choose option 16 to reboot and my phone starts to reboot but gets stuck at the white htc EVO 4G screen. I then need to do a battery pull to nandroid restore to get everything back.

Any ideas why? Does it not play nice with CM7 and Tiamat? Should I choose another option besides 8 and should I not do an option 16 reboot?

It's worked fine with Sense based ROMs. However after choosing option 16 with MikG I remember it just stayed in script manager and the phone never actually rebooted. Not sure exactly why or how to properly use this script with CM7.

There is a video on the previous page watch it you will have this all figured out in nine minutes :)

Make sure to run version 8.

Just ends up with a frozen boot screen for me. It did work when I ran MikG. But not with CM7 and Tiamat. No idea why.

Followed the video to the letter. Frozen boot screen. Followed the tutorial. Frozen boot screen. Have to do a battery pull and restore. No idea why it's not working.

When I hit option 16 to reboot, it says "not permited" Anyone else have this issue? If I reboot the phone myself, will it have the same effect?

I think it also has an option to exit, I tried reboot and it said 'not permitted' sometimes. I exited, closed script manager and rebooted.

i believe it will work if you reboot it yourself. a way to check is to run it again in a slow mode, 1 or something, pick the same option you did the first time, read what it is telling you, see if the values it puts up are matching now that you have run it once. If they are the same, old and new, then it changed them already and has done it's job.

I never had a frozen boot screen once. Maybe you have a bad download?

You are using the older version of busybox right, not the newer one that causes issues? (I know you said you followed the directions in the video just double checking)

In the instructions in html file for this install it states to go into the system/etc/inti.d folder open the 99supercharger.sh file and click on "run as root" and "run at boot". On the previous page where it has the video, he stays to go into system/data and look for the 99supercharger.sh file and do the run as root and run at boot procedure. When I installed the supercharger it made a V6 supercharger file on my SD card with a similar file (99supercharger.sh). I'm confused as whats the correct file to use and if anyone else did this...the for the clear up.....

well the sd card is not part of the system partition so it is not that one. i believe that it is in the ini.d partition. it might depend on the rom you are on as well.
