So I was listening to my sister complain about how her G1 service with t mobile is over $100/month last night. Also mentioned that she was tired of that phone and could upgrade to something else in November. When she upgraded to that phone, she shelled out over $100 for it as I recall. Anyway, I suggested she ditch t mobile like I did (her contract is over) and go with vm. Then, and get this, she said: "But your phone has no blinking light on it. That won't work for me, gonna stick with t mobile." Yeah, it's so worth paying well over $50/month more for a blinking light. Duh. Also, and I can't figure this one out; she doesn't really use ANY of the features of the G1. I mean none. She asked me last week what time a place closed. I told her I didn't know and why didn't she look it up. "Huh? Where? Do I text google for the number you mean?" No, LOOK IT UP. I mean what is the point of even having any smart phone if you don't even use the features? Frankly, I don't even think she does anything more than text with it and take pictures with it's shitty quality camera. No facebook, no email (has a gmail account she never checks). I'm thinking this is not an uncommon occurrence. Don't they still make phones that just text and call? Maybe those phones are uncool and for outcasts only, I dunno.
