I contacted Samsung asking if this problem could be fixed. Here is their reply:
They directed me to the nearest Service Centre... but at least it sounds like they are aware of the problem and have a solution.
Hmm it may be a "minor" software conflict - but it results in a major problem!Regarding your case, kindly note that the issue reported with the phone
indicates that the phone would need a software reset, or re flashing of
the Software, in order to have it operating normally again.
Please note that what has happened is caused by a minor software
confliction.
