Hi All,

So I must be mad.

Having got rid of my S2 just three weeks ago as I was bored, I went to an iPhone 4, took it back and went out and bought an S2 again (this time in white) yesterday. I missed it! How sad.

Anyway, I wanted to pick your collective superbrains on music apps. Or more to the point, music apps that sync with iTunes.

Prior to using the S2, I used an iPhone which, unsurprisingly, sync'd perfectly with playlists. I was therefore a bit disappointed with my initial Android experience.

I used Double Twist which kinda worked but was a pain. Didn't feel very elegant in that if I made changes to playlists in either iTunes or the DT app, when I resynch'd to my phone, the changes would often not make it across and I got fed up. But had little choice as iSyncr didn't seem any more elegant a solution.

I also ended up with loads of 'Unknown Artist' things but luckily Media Fix fixed this (the creator of that app is a genius!).

Anyway, before I load up my media card, I want to see what your experiences have been like and what you may suggest.. My scenario is that I have 60GB of music and only a 32GB card so I drag about 28GB of music to a playlist (not a smart one, just a normal one I think) and just sync that one playlist. Then if I update it by adding new songs, they copy across too (although as I said, the changes often didn't make it).

So I wonder if anyone has any experiences of an app that syncs seamlessly with iTunes playlists and doesn't cause any headaches? The Missing Sync looks good but is not cheap and I don't want to waste money on anything that works less than 100% perfectly at that price.

I run a MacBook Pro so I am pretty limited to iTunes which is where all my music is stored.

Also, while I'm on it, is there a similar app that does photo album sync (this was an option in Double Twist but it never worked seamlessly and just copied across random pics rather than individual albums).

And someone once mentioned an app that gets around DRM? Does anyone know about it as I've struggled to find more. My music is all legal but annoyingly I bought a lot on iTunes in the early days and I really don't want to have to use iTunes Plus and pay MORE to be able to break free of Jobs' shackles!!

Thanks in advance for all your help. It's great to be back :p

iSyncr does sync playlists.

Sadly all the solutions are crap compared to iTunes. iSyncr is less crap than all the others.

I have spent a considerable amount of time investigating the sync options on my SGS2 and they are all a huge disappointment. I really wish something like iTunes were available (I used to have an iPhone as well) but it's not and nothing available is anywhere near as good :-(.
