looks like factory reset for me too or go to my backup phone lg dare
today phone went bonkers app after app force closing, even service apps
2 low mem warnings one say Out of memory
I've reset, powered off several times to see if the phone gods would take pity , might as well wish for a fast gps lock
I was hoping to happily hop along til the prime/nexus/droid was released
looked at the bionic , didnt care for the screen looks dull compared to dinc.
I just hate having to reinstall and set up apps, gmails, swype, dropbox lookout , the ones I need to dig out forgotten passwords and import contacts etc.
I also wonder about paid for apps not listed in market and what happens if/when new working OTA is sent/received

I have been exceedingly happy with my phone since I rooted and updated, with better battery life and no perceived downside. However I did just notice that wireless n support that I've enjoyed since froyo is gone again in gingerbread. Is this old news? Anyone else find this to be the case?

I noticed this in some screen shots I saw.... Never heard anything about it though

update...after thinking a bit , I just decided to start deleting apps till low memory alerts went away, worked until I dl new swype though only one came back phone is usable.
I can limp along til sammy prime/nexus or the Motorola (Spyder / RAZR/ droid HD) whatever the name, that seems to have bionic specs but with screen Im looking for on phone.

Nothing in CT yet. Tried Checkin and no updates in our area.

Except my new wife's Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch. Jeez this thing flies! Screen is really sharp and clear. Downloads fast even on Sprint net. Gotta say, it's a nice, fast phone!

If my company phone does not get updated soon, I may have to wait for Nexus Prime then swap it, we'll see.

waiting for this update really has me thinking about going down the road to rooting. I haven't did it yet because it just seems like a high risk, high reward kind of thing to me. I don't know

As long as you're willing to deal with fixing something if it breaks, rooting is very safe. I can't think of anyone who totally bricked the phone doing it, and most problems people do have with rooting are pretty easily fixed.

The biggest problems are often based on not having patience. If it seems stuck, walk away for 15 minutes. It often is still working.

Root has risk. Not.much but some

Oh well plan to get a new phone in the next 4 to 8 weeks hopefully so I'm at the point I don't really care anymore if the Dink gets GB. It works fine as is and I can wait for it on another phone. Shoot I may even hold out for some Ice Cream. Chatter seems to indicated some may be out prior to Christmas? Who knows. Take it day by day and see what pans out.
