aTAKEphONE released

There have been a lot of suggestions but we haven't seen any updates in a long time. Is this app still being supported?

Yes it is still being supported, and I am really sorry for not being able to push updates for such a long time - I am busy over my head with contracted projects (got to make a living...), and keep hoping to free up some time to move this one.

Sorry...

Making a living comes first, obviously. I can't fault anyone for that. However, "hoping to free up some time", as a public position, seems more appropriate for a free app, not a paid app like aTAKEphONE.

I can't imagine that aTAKEphONE is a significant source of income, so I think we all understand where that leaves it on the priority list, but the above statement makes it sound like it's at the very bottom of the list.

I see your point.

I have to admit the facts do look bad.

Never the less - I have decided not to take on any immediate projects for now, so that I can clear up time to handle aTAKEphONE. After all - besides my commitment to paying users - I consider myself the most eager user of aTAKEphONE !

Hope to start pumping out updates soon.

Hi all,

Just released a new version - 1.53 - at the Android Market and my website.

What's new in this version:

  • Clearing missed call/s icon - added a fix so it now works..
  • Scroll list down - hides keypad.
  • Fix for "smart sort" (sort results by freq of calls) for Samsung S2 (need to turn this on in "General" settings).
  • Added more accented characters search options.
  • *** Changed icon ***
  • Better search algorithm
  • Added option to show call log when search empty.

As always - you can get a full featured 30 days trial at ShSh Software

Thanks

I've updated both the program and the widget, and I'm having a problem with the widget - it keeps becoming blank, like it's lost the connection to the program and can't pick up the names. Also, the 'support' links on your website go to places it seems you haven't visited for months - is this the best support venue? The blog, also, hasn't been updated since July.....

Yes - aware of the support page and blog. Will get on it asap.

Regarding the widget - can you tell me what version it is ?
(you can see in the widget settings page)

And what device are you using it on ?

Thanks

where is the widget setting page? as I said, I upgraded both today, so they should be the latest versions. I'm on a Samsung Captivate, Serendipity VII.

ON the widget top right corner there's a small round icon. Tap it, and it shows the settings page.

That icon also appears on the popup dialog appearing when you tap any i-Bar button or the last call line.

Thanks

Hi,

Are you saying you do see the names/images, but then they suddenly disappear ?

Yes, they were there when I set the widget into place, then they disappeared. And the button on the widget doesn't work. It's almost a though the widget is disconnected from the program and yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the widget.

It is resolved. Actually it resolved itself before I updated. I couldn't get the settings icon to work that's on the righthand side of the widget, so I clicked on the last call, which opened up that screen, and that settings icon worked. All I did was go in and make the widget fully transparent, when I went back to the home screen the widget was working. Then I updated to today's update. So, for now, all's well, I'll let you know if it happens again. Thank you! :)

Please do.

Thanks.
Happens on and off, here are two shots, different orientations:

emptywidgetportrait.jpg

If I leave the screen and come back it may be back, or if I turn off the screen and go back - I don't always have to go into the settings of the last call screen to get it back. The settings button to the right of the widget does not work.
