Root [ROM][YACR] CM 7.1-Reppard

hmm phone stable at 600..anything higher the screen jumps..i know this issue was mentioned already but any updates on this?

I had this problem with playfulgod's CM7; couldn't go past 600 or the screen would wig out. Currently, I'm running reppard's latest at 768. It's very stable and smooth. I haven't bothered yet to try anything higher. I probably will sometime, but I'm pretty content right now. :)

My screen was glitching something serious on the new freqs so here's what I did...

Changed min frequency to anything over 300
Changed default governor to "ondemand" or "smartass(original)"
Using spare parts I increased transitions and animations to fast.

I am now running @ 806+ with no problems...it runs liquid smooth!

Thanks for that info. I went ahead and changed the settings in the spare parts, but fortunately don't have that problem right now since changing over to reppards.

if they work I want them...

i havent tried them yet.. as there is a apk and odex for each.. and have been unsuccessful in getting them to work.. looking into deodexing them to see if that works, if anyone has any info to offer on this it is appreciated.. bout to load up my android kitchen and deodex the sense rom, as im pretty sure that the hidden menus are in it, and then pull the deodexed apks from that and see if ti works..

When in android kitchen you'll have to deodex each apk one at a time (it sucks I know). You can use the porting tools found in additional options to port your favorite kernel to any rom. I recommend deleting all of the odex files and then resign
and then re-script so that the manifest will change accordingly. I've never seen a one click rom deodex but man I'd love to have one!!!

Edit: Never tried deleting the odexes all at once and the resigning and such but since those files don't seem to rely on each other till you actually flash then I don't see why it would fail.

the htc android kitchen on xda has the option to deodex a rom all at once

anyone know why when you get the end of a page or app and try to scroll it starts doing one of those gradient effects from dark to light? like that the screens fading away?

might be stupid to mention but, everything is worth fixing, a problem always has solution ;D

It's not really a problem. It's actually a feature that you can turn off in the cyangenmod settings, but I forget what sub setting it's in. Something about over scrolling, or something like that.

So I flashed to this the other day, after I was having some screen issues with playfulgod's cm7. I only just tried mms today. It wouldn't send just as is. I happened to have pg's metroff no roaming indicator off fix on my sd card, so decided to flash that. Got it flashed and could send a picture through mms. 'Course, now instead of nothing in the service indicator, out says roaming indicator off. Oh well.

No, I had actually forgotten about that one. However, I don't happen to have it on my sd card. I might give that a try later this evening. Thanks for reminding me of it.

Thanks Reppard, great ROM if you want to get the most of the Optimus M. I run smoothly on 768mhz. Also it turns out that your ROM has loop devices support which allowed me to install Linux chroot parallel with the Android. I have just one little problem with the A2SD. It doesn't really work right. The applications run from the SD, but the Dalvic cache is still in the internal memory. I tried "a2sd repair" and "a2sd cachesd" in the terminal but it keeps giving me errors. Any idea if I am doing something wrong?

You will have to manually flash the dt script from recovery. There are several people that have encountered that (including me), and once we manually flash the beta 4 script it will work properly.
