looking for a nice pair of headset

the standard headset that came with my phone just broke. and im looking for a new one to replace it. i know that other headsets wont work with samsung phones so i want to know what others are using aside from the standard one. and i mean a full functional headset with mic/buttons to accept calls. im using a bluetooth headset (nokia bh-505) at the moment and it works just fine (music and calls) but still i want a wired one. so if anyone is using non-samsung wired headset or has any idea of what works best with samsung phones, please post it here. ill use it for reference in buying a new one for myself. oh, and i prefer in-ear type. thanks

pre i think you should try other manufacturers wired headset first from your friends....eg nokia...etc. i have a feeling most standard headsets works and only those with different input jacks wont work. anyways. you can probably test different headsets first from shop before buying.

yes pre. i tried the headset of my c7. also tried one from sony ericsson. didnt work. even for music playing only, have to press the call answer button to produce the right sound/bass. ill also look for other headset brands like beats by dr. dre. but if i cant find one, maybe ill settle for conventional earphones for music playing only. sony, philips, etc... and yes, beats.

omg pre, di ako mayaman. hehehehe. yes ive seen models priced like that here in dubai. 900-1200 dirhams. awts! mabigat bro. kaya ko mga 150-300 dirhams siguro. yung mga lesser models lang. beats by dr. dre standard earphones lang. meaning yung mga stereo types lang, walang mic.

Cheapest orig Beats headset (in ear) is 7.5k pesos or whatever is the equivalent there. I'm not decided on buying it because some reviews find that the bud design was uncomfortable, so I'm still looking for one to try.

Try Sony or AudioTechnica if you want something cheaper. You can find great headphones by both brands at half the price of a Beats branded headset. The other people you see who have bought cheaper Beats devices are using Class-A devices and not original ones. Personally, I wont buy fakes, even supposedly "class-A" devices. Tested them, the bass dont even compare to originals.

If you really want to go cheaper but decent headsets, go Philips.

Actually, I'm also thinking of buying a set of Nokia BH503 bluetooth stereo headset (it works with SGS and Samsung SPica and Ace daw, so would also probably work). Handles calls, has music controls too. AFAIK it costs around 3.5k last I checked. Probably a bit cheaper now.

thanks for the advice about beats, pre. kya pala may nakikita akong mas mura, hindi pa pala orig yon. buti na test mo ang tunog. so crossed out na sa pagpipilian ko yon. ill check sony and philips, then. about nokia bh503, yes, it works with SGS. its what im using at the moment.

Bought a philips brand. Just a standard earphone. Im using it right now and im happy.more or less 850 pesos only. But still on a hunt for a full headset (with mic). lol i didnt even know what model it is. i threw the packaging right away in the thrash bin and started using it.

you mean it has to be able to connect at the same time? (can answer calls from the phone while listening music from your pc?)

No no.. what i meant is the headset should be able to connect to my phone if i want to listen to songs.. and it should also be able to connect to my laptop in case i wanna watch a movie or something. Mike is not a necessity. I've seen an original Nokia headset where you can connect ur phone via bluetooth but i dont know if its possible to connect it to a lappie.
