Comebacks you use for inerds?

Example: I'm in a meeting discussing our iPhone app. Everyone is asked to turn their phones to vibrate. I was the only person that just sat there. My boss aked me again to turn off my ringer and I told him it happened automatically. He asked how and I went on to show everyone in the room Timeriffic. I had set it up to change my settings for the meeting time. I asked if anyone elase had an app like that. Our head programmer was the only person to answer YES (he got an HTC hero free at the sprint dev conference). The iphone users said that they can't have more that 1 app running at a time. I knew this but it was the perfect chance to shut them up after all the smack talking.

It's the little things that put a smile on my face.

haha love it - downloading timeriffic now!:D

I swear there should be a support group for those that start threads like this. They're basically cries for help, really.

+1

you're not going to change anyones mind by insulting their phone, ipad, or whatever. superior as you believe your stuff to be, it just results in the other person putting up a wall and everyone seeing you as an instigator. you're better off just letting them play with your phone. either they'll come around or they won't. and if not, who cares? you're not stuck in a contract at&fail so whatevs!

Most of the iphone users I know are really childish
I wonder what most of the iPhone users you know have to say about most of the Android users they know.

This topic is absurd. I don't know why we have so much iPhone talk on this forum. It's like you guys couldn't get your parents to switch your family plan to AT&T

They're both great phones. Let's just carry on discussing the Nexus One on this forum because that's what we're here for. Or at least, it's what we should be here for.

I must reiterate that this whole tied-to-carrier thing in the US is absurd. Having done some research, I continue not to get why you guys don't buy phones unlocked like sensible human beings in the rest of the world.

Note the sarcastic smiley in my previous post. Please recognize this from now on to avoid ongoing misinterpretations. I suspect you have no clue what I was getting at with my quoted comment. I assure you, there's meaning to it.

Ignoring your mistake, I agree. I haven't bought a phone under contract for years.

Nah, your sarcasm wasn't exactly the height of subtlety: I got it fine that you were bitching along the line of "are you people just teenagers who couldn't get mommy and daddy to switch to AT&T and get you an iPhone or something?" And that doesn't make the carrier thing any less absurd, or your overestimation of your own wit any less lol-worthy.

This thread has gotten really out of hand and off topic, shame on you all.

Now back to the topic; You should make a remark about customization like how they can't even change their wallpaper or how their screen is boring since it's only apps, we got widgets. You can also say something about the camera since its 5mp (vs the iPhones 3mp) and has flash. Then blind 'em using the strobe light in N1 Torch.

Don't need a comeback. Hand em my Nexus let them play with it for about 5 mins. General reaction is Holy Sh*& this phone is sick. No bantering is needed :)

Furthermore 7 of my friends, 3 with Iphone's, 1 with a Blackberry Storm 2, 2 with the Droid Eris and 1 with a Sprint Hero.. Have purchased a Nexus since letting them play around on mine.

I'm starting a NexWave I tell ya. (Starting to believe Google's "Plan" was Word-of-Mouth)
