Help Tested games on the E3D

Gameloft's 9mm Now Available in the Android Market :)

Runs beautifully on the EVO 3D, not an Unreal Engine powered game, but the graphics are pretty nice!

When you go to the Gameloft store on your phone the bottom of the page says:

"Tons of new games are coming soon to the HTC Evo 3D! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to know as soon as they are available."

With all of the 3D games being released on the Optimus lets hope some of these are the ones coming to the E3D. Just having the Sensation versions of the games available would be better than nothing though, I suppose.

Absolutely!!! It's been a long time coming, but I'm glad Gameloft hasn't completely forgotten about us 3DVO users.

Dungeon Hunter 3D was released. Anyone willing to try it and see if the achievements actually work (and upload to the Gameloft LIVE account online)? I don't want to buy it again unless it actually works as intended...

9mm is on the Android Market as well, if anyone is interested in that type of game.

Also, has anyone tried the S3D version of Need for Speed Shift from EA Mobiles website?

I went ahead and purchased Shadow Guardian, and it absolutely looks AMAZING. I would highly recommend it to every single one of you within the sight of my this post. Well worth the $5 bucks, easily. The one thing I suggest is that you swap out your standard 8 gig SD card for a bigger one, because this game takes up a half gig of space. Fortunately, I already have a 32 gig card. And yes, I did have to remove one of my 3D movies to load it up, but who cares.

Bottom line, it looks like Gamesoft is finally remembering us 3DVO users, and giving us some high quality games.

I scored Dungeon Hunter the other day for FREE. You know those HTC EVO 3D kiosks inside the malls Sprint has now, whereby they demonstrate them for customers in hopes of luring them in. Well, I often can't help myself but to conversate with the reps and show mine off a little, with my extended battery, library of 2011 3D films, and the 8 3D games I have. After telling the guy all of this, he asked if I wanted a free game. Immediately I thought to myself that the last time I got a free Gameloft game, all they offered was Let's Golf and Nova. I kind of brushed him off like I knew wha it was about, but I felt somewhat bad about cutting him of midway through his conversation, so I accepted the printed card he handed me and I said thanks as I walked away. This was last week.

Now that Dungeon Hunter and Shawdow Guardian are on Gameloft's site to purchase, they were two new games made available for those getting new 3DVO's, or existing customers who happen to stop by those kiosks and gets one of those game cards... So with that said, I suggest that if anyone is interested in getting the new games, head on down to your local mall and pray they have an HTC EVO 3D kiosk. You can probably ask for a free game card politely, thereafter. Good luck!!!

Oh and by the way, Dungeon Hunter looks just as good as Shadow Guardian does. The sound sets the mood, and it has a rather dark tone to it. Get yours... I got mine.

Between Dungeon Hunter and Shadow Guardian, I'd say Shawdown Guardian is probably more fun to play. Both have good back stories, and are obviously first person games, but Shawdow Hunter has a sort of modern day Indiana Jones vibe to it, whereas Dungeon Hunter is more of a Warcraft feel.

Just thought I'd add my two cents, after playing them for a couple of days now.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Sim City Deluxe both run nicely. Gameloft has a larger catelog of games out now, including Shrek Kart 3D.

Riptide GP was updated for non-tegra devices as well and even runs on the EVO 3G. It's sad that it has taken so long developers to realize that these games can run on things other than the all powerful Tegra chips.

Now we just need to wait for SHADOWGUN to no longer be a Tegra exlusive.

GTA 3 will be a sweet title though; hopefully that comes out soon too. =)

It's been out, but they decided to make it a Tegra exclusive, sadly, which I could see taking 3-6 months from when it was released for us to see it, like Samurai II.

Which is really stupid. I hope Nvidia is paying them alot, because you can see that the normal version of Samurai II has four times the downloads as the Tegra version, which has been out for almost twice as long.

If you look at Riptide GB you'll also see that sales have more than doubled since they updated it to be a non-Tegra exclusive as well.

These are also both games they have been able to make available on lower end devices like the EVO 4G...

Instead of making a new thread, since this is a Evo3D gaming thread and Gameloft is getting mentioned a lot, I'll ask here.

Some people have been mentioning to me the 14 day free trial for the Gameloft club, and if you do the free trial you get 2 games to keep even if you cancel. My question is, if you can still update the 2 free games you get just for trying the trial, or once you cancel the membership you are stuck with them at the final version you had before canceling? Somebody brought that up and it got me wondering.

You used to be able to download the games as many times as you wanted after you purchased them (for the same phone), no matter the price you got them at. At their mobile website towards the bottom there was a category called "My Downloads" or something like that, but they seemed to have removed it, so if you uninstall it you basically have to buy it again.

To answer your question more completely, the answer is no. A majority of their games will check for updates when you start them up, so you will always have the latest version. Gameloft doesn't update their games very often though, so it's not really something you need to worry about anyway.

Finally, if you do have some of their games you can always back up the APK and game files to your PC if you feel like uninstalling a particular game and want to save it for the future.
