I know there are a couple different ones. I am pretty sure the 2850 OEM battery is the most common, and I think Seidio makes a little bigger one as well. I am trying to find out what people are getting battery life wise out of these, and which ones they recommend buying and maybe even where I should look to get the best deal. I am averaging between 6-9 hours on a full charge, and while I am not usually away from my phone charger for more than that, I have found myself sacrificing using my phone to browse, play games, etc. because I know if I do, it will die before I can charge it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!

If you want the biggest then try the Mugen Power 4500

Otherwise I believe the OEM or Sedio battery would be fine for you and they could fit into certian cases unlike the beast above.

am i the only one that thinks "beached whale" whenever i see that massive 4500mah battery?:rolleyes:

if you need THAT much battery just to make it through the day, you need to figure out some simple strategies to improve battery life, such as slowing down sync times, texting less than 1000 times a day, turning the screen off every now and then, not using your phone as a 24/7 flashlight and/or pocket surveillance with the camera, not using it as a hand-warmer, etc, etc. it's bad enough when you need the 2750mah battery, but 4500mah???

the only reason i could ever imagine myself using that battery is if i know i won't be near any power source for a few days.

No that battery is GIANT I really don't see why anyone would want to add that much bulk to their phone, just anytime someone asks about extended batteries it is a fun thing to bring up. I would hope if someone actually got that battery it lasts a few days at least, I don't like the bulk added by a normal extended battery.

@tboltfan you could also look into getting spare batteries and an external charger, that way you could keep the slim phone and have a backup battery charged and ready to change out at any time if needed.

I have had the Seidio 3500 for a couple of months and absolutely love it!!!! It is the same size as the standard extended battery. I can easily use my phone for anything I want ALL day that includes web browsing, about 100+ texts, calls, pandora radio, gps stays on, bluetooth, etc. I unplugged my phone at 10am this morning and currently have 60% at 3am after everything listed above all day.

Same here. I can get 2 days easy out of the Seidio.

man, i dunno if i could handle an extended battery. i think the TB with a case is about as thick as i would want.

OP, FWIW, i bought a desk dock (has an external battery charger) and a texcell "extended" slim 1700mah battery for a total of $30. i just slip the extra battery in my back pocket when i think i may need it and i am good to go for a full day.

just another option for you.

I have both the HTC extended 2750, and the Mugen 4500 Whale.
I use the 2750 all week, and its perfect for around 16 hours of use. I usually have between 15% -20% left at night.

On weekends, I use the Whale. It carries me from Friday night to Sunday night. I am in 4G area, and use a lot of BT connections, hot spot connects, tons of texts and emails, and a few hours of watching tv on slingplayer on weekends.

Thank you! You are the first person I have seen who got the Mugen battery. I didn't expect it to last that long but wow, is the kickstand useable with the Mugen battery on?

I know this doesn't answer your qustion, but i say do what i do and just carry a charged up spare. The bulk of these extended batteries is just ridiculous. Would you really rather have an extra 1400mah in your hand at all times or in a pocket?

That's my solution.. I keep it in the car just in case. I think I've used it maybe, never, but its nice to know its there in a pinch.

Wow really? I will most likely be doing that then, BC the cheapest I found the 3200 is 60 bucks, and I don't think the, difference between the two will make any difference for me personally...I have no problem charging my phone every night while I sleep, so if the 2750 gets me from 8a til midnight everyday, ill be just fine :)
