Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

So my phone went mutant! It had restarted like 6-7 times today alone! I notice my wifi will disconnect even though it says connected (usually fixed by a toggle unless it restarts the phone) 3g seems to require toggles every time after sleep and I get the here now named "black screen of death" about every third time upon wake. If anyone has any fixes I would appreciate it, if not I hope any of this is informative. Thanks tickerguy and Isaac even with small issues your alpha trumps the stock 1000 fold! If anyone found any fixes please let me know :)

I've found that if you disable the wireless once you're done with it, and before you sleep the phone you will avoid all reboots. The reboots seem to be associated with the wireless despite Tickerguy's workaround. From what I've observed quick looks at the phone with wireless enabled are causing the reboots--could be due to the wireless negotiating connectivity in the short window of it being on. Ever since I started turning wifi off before sleep my black screen of deaths and reboots have stopped. (had 7-8 a day prior to this behavior change)

Airplane mode cycling for 3g seems to be necessary about half the time, but really this doesn't seem to be different than stock for me.

Ran into an issue today using the 9/25 version of the rom with the OC kernel that Isaac posted.

While trying to watch some Youtube videos at work today I noticed that if the phone stays vertical the video will flicker and flash. The sound is fine and the rest of the screen seems unaffected, just the small portion that shows the video flickers approximately 1-2 times a second. Switching to landscape mode corrects the problem until you go back to the vertical position and it starts up again. From what I can tell it doesn't matter if you are on 3G or WiFi, or if you are watching high or low quality video. Youtube seems to be the only thing I can replicate the flicker with, browser flash video and my videos from the SD card seem to work without issue.

I searched the thread for screen flickering issues with video and nothing popped up so hopefully I'm not reporting something that is already known.
Same Problem.

I'll give this a try thank you for the quick response!

Anyone losing 3g and having to toggle airplane mode can go search the Android market for "connection checker" used this on the optimus v when it was having 3g issues. It will detect that you're 3g is down and toggle airplane mode for you

That's sorta sad that we have to have an "app for that" (Granted, this is across the entire Triumph line up, and it is not just this ROM)

I have faith that Tickerguy will figure it out (if there is a way to fix it, he will find it.) Until then, thank you for a fix!

I figured it out! Ran a logcat and found that the Wifi daemon couldn't access the wpa_supplicant.conf or something like that due to a permissions error. I gave that file full permissions and the problem was solved!

Would you mind providing a few more details on what you did please? I've noticed that my lockups of doom only happen when using WPA wifi and letting the phone go to sleep.

This works great!!! Thanks for the heads up on this! I love the built in log as it's already letting me see some trends on when it's having to toggle the data connection.

Are you saying you fixed the wifi sleep/wakeup issue? Can you provide more details on how you did it?

I love the ROM otherwise, but am mconsidering going back to stock until the wifi issues are worked out since I don't have great 3G coverage at my house.

Hey guys,

I'm having problems with the accelerometer with a few games I play. With a free game called Lane Splitter where you move the phone in order to move the character, the accelerometer is unresponsive so it is hard to control the character.

With another free game, Homerun Battle 3D, I can't move around the target when I'm at bat. Is anyone having the same problems? I posted this problem at Github btw. Thanks.

Anyone else having problems with the proximity sensor during phone calls? My phone is constantly blinking and occasionally I hang up with my ear. Looked through the settings but didn't see anything that might be causing this. I use launcherpro, don't think that would cause it though

I think there is a setting that say always use proximity, I think that needs to be checked

Same thing happens to me. I tried some game the other day (can't remember what it was) but you had to move the phone back and forth to make the character move, and it wouldn't move.
