Help Why Isn't My Mobile Phone Recording Coming Out in 720p HD?

.. I recently uploaded a video on YouTube which I recorded on my HTC Desire, which is supposed to record in 720p HD... However, when I uploaded the video on YouTube, the 720p HD option was there, however it was BLATANTLY NOT in HD... Why is that?

did you select 720 in the video window? how do you know it was blatantly not in 720?

.. Yes I did, and the reason I could tell it was blatantly not in 720p HD, is because it hardly got any clearer, and even if so, not enough to be in 720p HD.

.. I've seen this with other HTC Desire devices uploaded videos on YouTube as well...

Sounds like a fps problem. Your phone is recording in the best looking 720 it can manage I'm sure... sorry

What does the footage look like when you view it, on a computer, from the SD card ? If it's O.K. here the issue is YouTube, if it's not (and you can look at the file properties to see what it thinks it's recorded) it's a phone/user issue.
