EDIT: just installed it.. took a minute to setup, looks very good.. nice widget too. as i use only hotmail and gmail, i guess i can stop using the android email app, which really wasnt that great. haha

no problems with it so far, although i'd like to be able to set my custom notification tone, instead of using my default notification tone, for new emails

The app closes when trying to change folders. In fact it seems to close while trying to do almost anything after opening the app from the widget.

Just downloaded this thanks for letting us know it has been released.
I'm having problems, can you set it to alert you to emails, or do have to open the program to check for emails?
My gmail ones just lets me know without any problems, this doesn't appear to work the same, or does it?

it alerts u as soon as u receive a mail, push mail just like the gmail app. go to general settings/notifications n see if u have selected it..

Not really S2 specific - does this need moving to Apps forum?
Needs to offer different tone as email and text now sounds the same
Would also be better if you could refresh by clicking on your username tab rather than having to go into the menu and then clicking refresh.

Working fine for me, no longer having to forward email to my gmal
I've been using the default e-mail app for my hotmail account ever since I've had a smartphone!?!?!?
How is this any better?

maybe it was the way i had set it up (or hadn't!) but when i tried adding my account to default email there were issues with syncing, and emails that i'd read/deleted still appeared 12 hours later when i went to my online account. doesn't happen with this app.
to me, I also hate having multiple accounts on my default email - more clicks to access stuff. I use hotmail for mates and my work account for, well, work, and it's nice to keep the 2 seperate.

I have found that when i reply to an email on my laptop then reply again to same message using app on phone it turns the english text to chinese characters on email has anyone heard of this? I have samsung galaxy fit.
Thought it was AVG app but removed it and it still does it also changed to plain text and it still does it.

I can not find a recent thread so I'm hoping someone will see this and help me. I just got a Droid Bionic and installed the Microsoft hotmail app but I can't figure the darn thing out! The only thing I can manage to do is read and delete messages. I can't see how to reply to or forward a message. Am I supposed to be able to do these things? I am really disappointed in this because I thought I would be able to do basic functions via my phone. Thanks!

I cannot send emails from my s2. It says sending failed null. Not the tec savviest. What am I doing wrong?
