Help Led notification too slow between blinks

Is there anyway to speed up the LED Notification on this phone. It is about 10 seconds between blinks which is easy to miss when looking at the phone for any new texts, missed calls, voicemails, etc.....

I tried searching and couldn't find an answer, so I am sorry if this has already been discussed. I am relatively new to this forum.

Would be great if it was adjustable on many phones (maybe requires root for that?) However I'd rather not root my Inc S but would love a faster flashing LED. Sometimes messages etc are overlooked on my phone with just a quick glance at it.

The 1 flash per second or so is a basic R&D flaw IMHO.

Download the SMS Popup app from the Market. It lets you set the LED blink rate speed (you can even set the milliseconds for the time it illuminates and the pause between the next flash) and color (although on the E4GT you're limited to red, blue, and purple).

You can customize a few other settings too and this app is the only way I've found so far to let you know when a text message comes in while you're on a call. The stock phone seems to keep silent and you have to notice it after you've hung up.

Lightflow from the market lets you change the colour and flash frenquency of the led.
(Note, only three colours will work with the E4GT, but it's better than the red only in stock form)

Cheers

I must be doing something wrong. The testing mode only turns on the red light constant. When I try to get it to come on regularly, gmail doesn't show at all o the LED, although the notification sound works.

I get the same with lightflow. I tried both "modes" and it's not working. The app says in the notes that it doesn't work with Samsung phones. Can someone who has this working on THEIR ET4G confirm their settings that enable it to work and the "test" to actually show up correctly?

I agree about the LED blink rate. Way too fast and way too long in between blinks. I'm using the app Blink to adjust it. It's not great, but it is better than stock. You only have three settings for the rate (slow, medium and fast) for missed calls, text messages and emails. I didn't notice much of a difference between the three. And I can only get red and blue to work, no purple. It, however, has given me no other problems.

I can't get Blink to work. Is there some magical setting I am missing? I turned off my notifications in Settings, but that just means that I get no LED.

Anything else I can try?

After launching the app, touch the menu button and go to 'LED Manager'. Check that the colors work for you. As I said earlier, I could only get red and blue to work. When you select the color, the LED will automatically turn on to tell you it's working. (If you have any questions about this, press the 'LED Field Test Guide' button. It has instructions.) If that color works, check the box and save the color so you can choose it later.

After you have all of your colors that work chosen, go to the Blink Colors tab and select 'Enter Blink'. First, make sure it says it is on down at the bottom. It's a bar, green for on, red for off. Also make sure each item you want to use Blink for is checked, like SMS, MMS, phone calls, etc. That's pretty much it.

Too difficult for you to pick it up and actually look at it?

You mean turn it on and look at it? That would sort of defeat the purpose of an LED notification, wouldn't it? The reason the LED is on a phone is so that you can glance at the phone to determine if you need to bother to "look at it."
