So? What were you guys hoping for? 1.5 ghz processor speed? Bigger battery? More Megapixels on the rear camera? Just curious.

I was personally expecting an OMAP4460 clocked at 1.5 GHz and a 2000 mAh battery. But an OMAP4460 clocked at 1.2 isn't a big deal at all. I'm disappointed in the battery size, especially given that the SGSII has a bigger battery, but all in all I'm very happy with the specs.

I seem to remember that one of the twitter dudes said that today would be kinda epic and that we should all be excited about today, I am guessing that is what he was referring to.

Yes, P3Droid said "October 6th, will be a good day. A very good day."

I trust him, so I'm betting this is what he was referring to. Which lends more credence to the specs being accurate.

*sigh* maybe one day there will be a cutting edge phone that has a keyboard =-(

after following from page 10, i shall take my leave, i hope it lives up to all your expectations! /cry
Have you heard about the D4 aka Maserati? It's being tested now and is apparently a super slim LTE slider that will put the D3 to bed for good. Supposed to be out by end of year?

black_man_x is confirming it on his twitter feed (he works for Google and has inside sources at Verizon. He's also supposedly been playing with the Nexus for the last few weeks).

He also brings up an interesting point, for those disappointed with the built-in storage. Basically that it's not that big a deal since you'll have cloud storage and Google music.

Bigger i mean better with specs. Note is a monster, not for me. If this rumors are true, there is just nothing to wait, as SGS II is better with 8MP camera and SD-card slot, and than I would not understand what are you waiting for, as you can get ICS with upgrade or custom ROM.

Galaxy note is coming to Poland too.

PS. I'm here just for talk. I'm not planning any change due to my finance situation, and single-core SGS I have perfectly meets my expectations as for now. So don't worry, I'm staying here till 11th, or maybe longer.

The amount of megapixels mean very little when determining which camera is better than another.

SD Card slot. I'm fine with all the other specs. I'm stuck on a Droid Eris right now (710 max stable overclock speed )

Wait... there's no MicroSD card slot?????:eek:

A phone I'll be happy to use for at least two years (or more?).

This looks like it will be that phone.

This seems on par with the Vigor to me. The Vigor wins in the camera and processor departments, while the Nexus wins on the screen, internal storage, battery and OS dept's.

You can always upgrade your battery, so to me this seems like a toss up and personal choice. It seems to me that these phones will be cutting edge until about January or February. It seems as if they left room for growth.

I wonder how long the exclusivity will last...I can wait a month or so. I have the money for it all lined up and ready to go. Hopefully they let us know on the 11th when it will hit the other carriers.

Also, not concerned in the slightest about no storage card slot. I'd prefer one, but since it's 32GB I can deal with it. I only have a 16gb card in my Inspire 4G right now, so I look forward to the extra space.

I'm still not 100% convinced on the specs due to the source but none of the heavy hitters are denying so I'm getting closer.

Also, I too had envisioned the 1.5 4460 and a slightly larger battery but the important thing is this...we have NO IDEA how ICS will play into this, it's uncharted territory. At this point my hopes have switched to solid battery life which is another way of saying I hope ICS delivers some significant advances in resource management.

You're disappointed in a dual core 1.2GHz phone with 1GB of RAM? Really? Just a SGS2? Have you had the chance to play with a SGS2 yet? They're incredible.

Yep, I had a chance. Every weekend, as my brother has SGS II.

You don't understand me. We're waiting for something special here, huh? If it's not special, so we don't have to sit here at blab here, just let's go and buy SGSII, it's just the same phone! Sigh..

The lack of a micro sd port was a slight disappointment, but I have already started looking at music that I don't have to have on the phone. If the specs are correct, I will be the first in line to buy it. I have been holding on to my upgrade for a few months (which has really impressed my wife) but I am ready to spend some money and take home a Nexus.

The only doubt I have specs-wise is that I thought the 4460 only came at 1.5 GHz. Is that right?

If so, it's either going to be an overclocked 4430 (I hope not!) or an underclocked 4460 (underclocked to save battery life?). I'm just so happy we're getting the Vanilla flavor. I think that's what's going to help clock speed more than anything.

Good point about ICS. I think that's actually going to be the most important part of this device. Specs will be outdated within a few months, they always are. I'm going to be very interested in what we can expect from ICS.

i'm actually fine with the specs honestly.

the processor speed is adequate for me. Look how long other nexus devices are still being used, look at how long the DX has lasted with it's processor and that is WITH the crippled bootloader

Battery...ehh this to me is kind of an unknown. The fact that no on knows how ICS affects battery life leaves this one in the air. As it stands i feel that the battery will be enough

I don't drink the MegaPixel kool aid. I just want it to take good , timely shots. aka....better than Moto cameras.

What about the fact that the 1.2ghz processor will be running on an HD screen, unlike the screen that the sgsII has, which has less pixels in the screen. Won't this make the sgsII faster now and especially when it gets ICS. I personally think this is an inaccurate leek. Some parts may very well be true, but why leak specs that are less then everyone's expectations, unless it is to get everybody's hopes down a little, then blow them away Tuesday. I hope this is the case, I'm on T-mo & can't afford to change carriers.
