I've notice the last couple nights (night shift) that while on Vcast my 4 keys (menue/Home/Back/Search) will randomly light up and a couple times the menue would appear as if I hit the menu key with the picture of the shopping cart. No big deal I thought, I just hit the back key and it dropped back out of sight.

Fast forward to this evening. I am watching Smallville and the keys light up... and then the video backs up to the Smallville menu showing 1 of 6, 2 of 6....so on and so forth.... and then it backs up to the CW listing of titles.... and then it backs up to the home screen!

All of this as I have the phone setting on a piece of bubble wrap on my desk and leaning against my flashlight. My hands are no where near it.

I called the "V" tech and he suggested I reset the phone by doing a hard reset. I don't like that concept, I love the setup I have and everything is tweaked and peaked to my liking. It will take me at least a week to get back to where I am!

I told him I was going to run it another couple days and see what happens.

Note: Purchased on 10-1-10 at Best Buy, it is now 10-28-10. 2 days from D-Day!

Anyone else seen any odd action from these capacitive keys while your not even touching the thing? Should I demand a new (not refurb!) Fascinate?

I had the same thing happen with my epic today after a hard reset. Only apps I had installed were speed test, es explorer and mx video player. Did you have any of these apps when you had this issue?
