Root [CDMA] TWRP Recovery 1.1

My first thought is to be upset that the nandroid collection I have (probably over 20) would be useless but then after thinking about it I know I'll never restore any of them so it's a non-issue. The only one I might ever have a need to restore is the first one and I can always reflash the copy of 1.0.2 I've been using since then if I ever have the need to.

Charging in recovery is pretty huge.

Does anyone know if this version is compatible with the method used to unlock 1.50 HBOOT phones?

I'm referring to this guide ([GUIDE] HTC Unlock Hboot 1.50 + TWRP Recovery + Root + Flash Ur Ass Off! [9.11.11] - xda-developers) linked to in the Evo 3D Rooting Essentials sticky post on this site.

Basically it seems that due to some difficulties with 1.50 (I should have decided to root before that OTA) and using the HTC method to unlock the bootloader, some modifications (i.e. changing the kernel) needed to be made to TWRP to make it work.

I'm assuming that the same modifications would need to be made again before I could upgrade?
