Go Launcher - Hottest home launcher

I have tried that and all it does is take me back to the home screen where there is an invisiable widget that I can resize but cannot see.

I would assume a long press on the screen, open Widgets, and look for Quick Contacts. Should be there if it's installed. A 4x1 should do. You can also long click on the widget once on the screen and "resize" to stretch in any direction.

I've always had folders/links in my dockbar, there are 15 positions, I have 5 or 6 folders (actually links from Auto App Organizer that open as folders).

Odd. That only happens with Quick Contacts? How about you long press and add a couple individual direct dial contacts, do they show up correctly? Just put 4 of those in a row. That's kind of what I do:

Hi,
I just started using Go Launcher and am building a custom theme using custom icons and such. However my question is how can I save the custom built theme I just created so that I can try out other themes and come back to the one I saved with the wallpaper and everything else? Also, if I hit the home button at the bottom and want to set go launcher as the default launcher, how do I go back to Sence UI if I wanted to since the option would no longer show up?

For question 1 I have no idea.

For question 2:

Long way: go to menu>settings>applications>manage apps>look for Go Launcher>clear defaults. WHen you press home you get the options again.

Short way: download homeswitcher from app market and open app whenever you need to switch.

Go Launcher has a "Back-up" in settings. It makes a back-up in the GO "db" folder. You can copy/move that folder (3 files), change it's name (to like "Theme1"), then later when you do another back-up the 3 files will update (but you have the old theme back-up somewhere else). Not sure about the wallpaper, I use Multi-Picture Live, and it seems I need to re-set it anytime I get a new GO update (but it does remember the pictures I'd set). I "think" you need to be rooted (or have a file explorer like File Expert that gives you root access to files) to see the 3 files in the "db" folder.

Clearing defaults should let you select which Launcher without having to use another app.

Hi guys, is there any way of changing the icon of an app folder on the home screen to look like something other than an iPhone-esque app folder icon? Whenever I go to change the icon of an app folder, all it gives me is foldery icons.

Use an app like folder organizer. It creates its own system independent folders whose icons you can change to anything you want as long as you have the files.

Many Launchers give you an option of the Default icon, the Launcher pack icons, or picture from your Gallery. You can download icon images and use those. Or Auto App Organizer Or Folder Organizer will also work.

hi everybody,

I'm using this great app, but I have just two questions:

1) is there a way to sort alfabetically the app into a folder?

2) sometime, on my GALAXY NEXUS, when I push the button to turn on the screen (on the right) my background seems "moved" at right.. my screen is divided vertically, right all black and left the background.. when I unlock the phone the background image works right..

any idea ?

bug of split screen still there.. find out why: if you use landscape e then back to normal , from that moment (until restart) the screen will be splitted when push the button to turn on it..

it doesn't happen if you use programs in landscape, like browser, angry birds etc etc..

someone can try to see if have the same bug?

Only way I see to reliably alphabetize the apps in a folder is to use Smart Shortcuts, or Folder Organizer or such an app. I'm using Smart Shortcuts, they auto alpha and you can have your favorites at top.

But if it's just apps (no bookmarks) you're putting in the folder, the app list that pops up to install is in order, and all that you check will go in the folder in the same order. But you have to start by long pressing to add a folder, then add apps from the list.

I've just un update of the launcher, and the bug 2 seems go away..

I'll check in next days.

For the other, alphabetically sort of the apps into the folder?

I don't like to remove and reinstall, don't want to loose all settings.. ;)

Go Launcher seems to center your background differently for your home screen and for your lock screen (it seems to shift the image to the side on the lock screen). The only way to avoid this is to find a larger background image so when it gets shifted, you don't see black.

EDIT: If they fixed it, that's great as this always bugged me. I use a pattern background right now so I haven't noticed.

I try folder organizer, seems works fine. Just the icons are not vertically aligned with the other of launcher.. the icons seems some pixel above the normal row of icons.

the bug is for all images I've used.. It's enought to not use landscape with Go Launcher. I use it rarely..
