Also, TiBU has cause Wi-Fi issues for me almost everything I've installed it. Since I stopped using it, Wi-Fi has worked flawlessly. I also stopped getting so many FC's and other errors. Root Explorer FTW!

PS: 'no connections listed' <That might be why you can't connect... ;-)

TiBu restores a bunch of data and cache from when you back it up. Thats what screws everything up. (IMO) I used TiBu one time, the first time I flashed, and when I restored using TiBu it screwed literally everything up. I found it easier, faster, and better to start completely from scratch each and everytime I flash.

Same here... If it weren't for my pictures and videos, I wouldn't even bother backing up anything now.

IMO you shouldn't delete what you posted, just add to it. It helps for future reference if we know all details of a problem, AS WELL AS how it was fixed. This info helps in case someone else has a similar problem.

I wear my mistakes as a badge of honor,in hopes that it saved someone else the hassle.As a matter of fact,was in error just a day or two ago telling another member here that you have to use your desktop P/C to change your recovery ROM if it's not listed in ROM MANAGER.A few hours later,another member here posted a method of accomplishing this w/o having to use a computer,& I stand corrected & hope this helped out countless others that want to flash an alternate recovery ROM but don't have access to a desktop computer.

you guys are the best, I flashed CM7 on my daughter's friends Ascend and we're having issues with swype force closing and gapps not installing. After reading this thread, we'll try to flash gapps with CWM 3.0.2.8 instead of the 3.0.0.5 we're currently running.

The 0828 gapps wont flash with CM7 for some reason even tho CM7 is Gingerbread and the gapps are meant for Gingerbread. But here these are the same gapps I just found a way to make them work.

i have a rooted ascend running 2.3.5 cm7(which i like very much

) ,i have been browsing and experimenting several root apps and other apps from aptoide, (example:setCPU, ASTRO, UnZip, App Manager and several other apps) to try and enhance my ascend. im currently using v4.5.0.1 ROM Manager. recently my phone has benn randemly rebooting and loop booting, but when i take out my 8 gig sd card its fine but without my apps :mad:

. it also works fine with a different sd card. how can i find out whats the cause of this mess? PLEASE somebody help

Have you tried re-formatting your sd card??
Back up everything to your computer then format the sdcard through recovery. then move everything back over. Unless you have an sd-ext partition. Then you may want to do a nandroid backup of the ext partition and restore from there once you format.

Just a suggestion. I'm no expert.

Ive come to the conclusion my phone hates 2.3.5 but loves 2.3.4 Maybe 2.3.5 got more "heavy" then 2.3.4? My phone runs twice as good on 2.3.4 then it does on 2.3.5 So i went back to PG's cm7.1 0727 and swapped out the boot.img from 0912 so I can run at 729 And my phone loves it.

I made the switch to CM7 and have been working on setting it up the way I like it as there were some features of stock I did like. I have recently downloaded swype beta and was getting the fc message every couple of seconds. I moved it to my SD card and the messages stopped however when I went into contacts to try out swype with messaging I saw that my contacts that was imported from the sd last night were replaced with my gmail contacts. Is there any way to mass delete my contacts list so that I can re-import them from the sd?

Ran into a bit of trouble recently with my App2sd. It won't put my Apps on my partition instead it puts the on my memory card. Anybody have any ideas im running CM7.2 9132011

i have playfulgod rom that he modified from 710mhz that is now defaulted to 600, and my will i say it have more bugs then a little bit, i cant take my sd card out without my entire phone turning off, alot of my applications are failing i guess i was better off with the 710 rom.... just letting you know PG.

There might be bugs on some of you mugd but there aint no bugs on me hhhaaa!!

Not Many and not serious ones thankfully.

Having issues sending long texts with gosms.

Although short texts are working fine.

The stock os put all my camera pics in dcim. Where does cm7 put my camera pic? I assume I can copy over my titanium backup files from my old install to say restore angry bird app and saves? should i replace my whole titanium backup folder with the folder i backed up from the stock os or just copy over the saves that i need. What extensions do the backup files have? .apk?

Do you have the Dalvik cache on the SD? If you do, you will have problems when you take the card out. If not, you probably had a bad flash or got a bad download of the ROM. It happens.

set your sms setting to split msgs over 160 char. My pix have alway went to DCIM regardless of rom.

My advice if you use Titanium bu is don't use batch restore, just go through and restore the apps one at a time and only restore the apps you know for sure are safe. (basically just the apps you have downloaded) People run into problems with TB when they restore the wrong things. I usually just restore the app just to be extra safe- but for a game like Angry Birds it's ok to restore app + data.

When I wiped everything did it wipe clockwork mod?

Is it necessary to reflash it from rom manager?

it used to say cwm 3.0.0.5 in rom manager where it says to flash cwm recovery.

Where do i go to split messages over 160 characters? Why are the pics I copied into dcim not showing up from camera gallery? but i can see them in file manager? I also took a pic yesterday in cm7. it shows up in gallery but i could not see it in dcim folder? Thanks! it just started working when i pasted the message instead of resending.
