It was finally leaked today (10/11, anyway) that the new iphone 4s has an 800mhz A5 CPU. Anandtech did a benchmark analysis:
AnandTech - iPhone 4S Preliminary Benchmarks: ~800MHz A5, Slightly Slower GPU than iPad 2, Still Very Fast
Apparently iOS 5 is a real beast.
Interestingly, the galaxy tab 8.9 comes in 2nd place in a number of benchmarks. Why? Because only Honeycomb (android 3.0+) uses the 2nd core for browsing the web. This blew me away. In most applications, android ignores the 2nd cpu core.
There IS hope yet, however. When Samsung (and google) give us Ice Cream sandwich (android 4.0), iphone 4s should be about as fast or maybe even slower than our e4gt. Lets hope for a november release! *crosses fingers*
